Hi, does anyone have a accurate transcription / tab of Stevie's moog bass line?
Everything I've seen online is pretty basic.
Thanks

Hi, I also have a little phatty which I mainly use for bass. Not sure how to upload new patches either.
However, if you check Matt Johnson and also Csmcrckrs you tube, they both have vids with bass patches for minimoog which work really well. Also check Moog forum too.- 1

Cool idea. 2eq or 3eq ray?
-
Louis Johnson also played it a few years later for Macca on the Broadway thing

Ceramic pick ups were is use in the 90s before they switched back to Alnico.
my SR5 is ceramic and sounds better (to me) than either of my 2eq or 3eq rays

I have used Berkley in Glasgow for years. It`s been £35 for 3 hours for ages now and I`m quite surprised that Steve the owner hasn`t put up his prices yet. There is 13 studios and the guys that work in there are cool and most have been there for years.
For us it beats all the other places hands down apart form the parking which can be a pain.
Is that Steve Cheyne? I used to rehearse at Berkeley in Washington St and before that when it was in Berkeley St (hence the name). Used to see Deacon Blue, Hue & Cry and other name Glasgow bands at the Washington St one

Got 2 maple necked stingrays. Wonder wipes are pretty good for removing the stains

....also some USA session players (in addition to those mentioned earlier in thread) would be great
Byron Miller
Gary Grainger
Melvin Lee Davis
Neil Stubenhaus
James Genus
What would be even cooler, is to get interviews with top drummers, e.g. Dennis Chambers, etc

Do you have a photo of the other fretless neck you refer to? Will that be sold separately?

Disappointing to hear of Matt Garrison going on like that. It is unusual that round about the time he was being critical of Janek was around the same sort of time as he pretty much disappeared from the bass scene. Before that he had seemed pretty busy and got some decent parts, and everyone was talking about the 'Matt Garrison' right hand technique. Perhaps he had some sort of an episode then, he's only 52 now so it effectively seems like he jacked in aged 40.
True enough...saw Matt with John McL and others years ago. He was amazing tbf.
But he did create a number of copycats, with 5 string single cut Foderas, tuned E-C, 33" scale plus ramp. Ok, Janek may have moved the instrument jack or whatever, but the core template came from Matt so maybe that's why he's whizzed at Janek

Music man Sterling R4 - any good?

Hi, had a pre-EB years ago. Still have a 3eq.
Considering getting a cheap 2eq to remind myself of the 2eq sound.
Will the Sterling R4 deliver? Or is quality and tone poor vs my EB 3eq?
thanks
