  1. I don't think the prices are out of touch with the market though...

TT is priced equivalent to the berg forte HP2

WD is priced equivalent to the GK fusion (appreciate this isn't a class D amp)/forte D

D800+ is similar in price to the DG alpha Omicron

There are cheaper amps out there though....costs everywhere are increasing and whether the product presents value or not is down to the player.

I remain interested in the amps based on my previous experiences with mesa, but I need to try them in anger as I've always struggled with class D.

Be cool if any users can drop thoughts and experiences in here anyway....or maybe another thread. ✌️

  2. Coming away from your list of options (which I apreciate probably isn't helpful) and not cheap, but I love the Strymon Volante for ambience.  I'd suggest a peek at it. Reasons I like it are:

    - simple user interface all up top

    - 8 saved user presets accessible from the top

    - sublime sounds and a spring reverb to polish them off

    - midi enabled

Anyway, good luck with the hunt I love building these types of sound.

Zach's videos are ace might have a few others worth a watch as well:

  3. Played the cart and horses, Stratford, again last night. Really like the venue and sound.

Bits that kept the night 'interesting' was 2 out of 3 bass cabs died during checks/ first band...really odd...and we didn't get to the bottom of it. We also had a ground loop problem during line check that was fixed through more luck than judgement I think.

Anyway, performed reasonably, played pretty well, everyone seemed to have fun ✌️

  4. Decided to create some more space and make the whole tuning thing a bit easier by shrinking back my wah.

There's a small piece of me that still wants to mess with an alternative reverb option, but actually I use three different settings on the h9 and I love the blackhole algo.

Probably need to tidy the underside at some point....it's a right mess now 😂✌️

  5. Im still desperately keen to try a tt-800 and a wd800.

My biggest frustration with the bass market is availability of multi brand equipment to try at volume. There's a berg here, mesa (nearly) there, genzler, orange, etc etc...to actually a/B them side by side.

I have no doubt mesa are well engineered and they're comparable to berg and the upper echelons of the amp market....the proof is always in the pudding in terms of whether it works for you - sound, flexibility, intuitiveness, and hoc features etc.

Anyway, I'm gonna be chasing the gibson garage, cause I really want to try em out....hopefully they'll also be available via other retailers in the UK soon 😎

A quick update - Boogie gear is in the UK and will be on display for the opening of the Gibson Garage in London this Saturday.

Dealers throughout Europe will have Boogie products in their stores in April, be sure to let them know what models you would like to see.

Also, for anyone that’s able to visit the garage, I would love to hear your impressions as I won’t be able to visit. Please message me or comment on this thread.

Thanks for the update! Do you know if they'll be available to test and buy, or just on display only? Not meaning to be a pedant! ✌️

  7. Played my first one of the year last night with Gévaudan at the Cart & Horses, Stratford. Sold out night, doomy line up and ace people in all the bands so a really cool vibe all night. Great venue and sound out front as well.

We didn't get to sound check.....or line check really, but it just felt like we clicked really well from the off and just had a night where it all felt really tight and delivered as we wanted to deliver our set..... 1 song, 43 minutes of heavy funereal, trady, epic doom. 😎✌️

  8. I used the b9 for a while. As above tracks well to an A. Really liked the sounds it offered and thought it sounded really good in a mix. Then we got synth and keys so dropped off my board. I like it, well worth trying if you're interested in that sound ✌️

  9. I now have two set ups....my live rig and my home rig. Home rig is an iLoud MTM with an ampeg sgt-di and a boss re-2. Sounds awesome, live rig is still the matamp. Really happy with both and having a proper plug and play set up now makes practice more accessible which is cool 😎 Really happy ✌️

  10. Just bought a big money pedal from Green - great experience, well packed, exactly as described, fast out the blocks on postage and great Comms. I'd buy again with confidence.

    Thanks very much ✌️

  11. Small update on my board....replaced a treble booster with the origin DCX. Sounded pretty ace tonight, need to get to grips with it a bit more but pretty impressed. I need to work out how to potentially best stack it with my fuzz, which may make the muff redundant, but we'll see.

Could someone with the 500w head measure the distance between feet. Just checking it would fit on a BF one10 horizontally.

    Thanks!

Mines 34 cm from outer edge of the foot to outer edge. 15.5cm front to back. ✌️

  13. Now for sale.  £70 price dropped. Not I need to sort a missing foot for it which I'll sort before posting.

Great condition, lived on my board and I have the box. Can supply more pics of needed.

    Thanks very much

  14. I got this from mesa via messenger last night by way of update after asking. Still feels a long way off...hopefully dates are locked though 🤷‍♂️

Hey Andy...thanks for reaching out. Mesa products will be on display at the Gibson Garage, but will not be ready for sales until April 2024.

  15. Looking for £115 now, posted. Cheers

Px with an origin bass rig super vintage cash your way would work for me as well.

Selling this as I haven't managed to get it to jive with my set up. Price includes postage. Pedal is in absolutely ace condition, velcro underside. Doesn't include DG box but I have some pretty sweet pedal size boxes to post it safely. Should me with any questions. Thanks
