1.
can't comment on the b2re but...the b410hlf is a superb cab! it is the cheaper series with the svt410hlf being the more expensive big brother.
+1
damn fine cabs, easily the best sounding cab i've ever heard or used.

2. don't forget the MIM's.if you get a good one they're just as good as a MIA or MIJ but you really need to try a few.my blinged MIM P(http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=29009) is a fantastic bass & plays as well as any P bass i've ever played-sounds good too but i may just change the pup just for the sake of it.

3. good man.
i've not seen a 5 string but have had a close up with a new 2008 4 string & i am well impressed.they seem even better built than the old models.just wish i could afford one, especially the colour scheme of yours-just a gorgeous bass.
hope you get it sorted mate.

4. hi Dave,my MIA 62 P bass g string saddle screws stick out about twice as far as yours & the saddle is a gnats cock hair off touching the base plate but its never bothered me & i've never caught my hand on it-no matter how carried away(pissed) i get.
+ nothing can beat that P sound IMO,it just drives a song along better than anything i've ever heard.

+ don't let the Fender bashers put you off-if you like it keep it.

5. go to parcelfarce's web site a put your USPS tracking number in,if p'force have your parcel the website will tell you.
i just recieved some parts for my bike that i ordered on the 4th october.
you should recieve an email from USPS saying that they attempted to deliver you parcel, what this means is that parcelforce now have it.parcelforce will send you a letter asking you to pay the customs charges + their own handling fee, which you can do via their website, once you pay this they will deliver it next day.

6. i don't know who this band were but they sound just like "9 below zero".
we've supported them 3 times so far & every time this is exactly what they're like.
in fact the first time we supported them was at fibbers in york & when we arrived at the venue Dennis asked the landlord/owner who we were as follows.
"who's that"
"your support band"
"well tell them to f*** off,we don't want them"

nice eh ?

on that subject again at fibbers John Amor made a big effort not to even look at us all night-what a twat.
Wilco Johnson is the complete opposite, freindly, chatty & Norman even took an interest in my bass rig-thats how it should be.

so go on name & shame them.

7.
It's just gone :)

I think I'll put a little extra cash in and get a Mex P
good move, but play a few as they vary a bit in quality, but get a good one (like mine  ) & they're a cracking bass.

8.
Difficult question time now, probably a silly question too, as sound is personally subjective.

How do the Sadowsky basses sound compared to the Laklands, or the Fender reissue basses, I've been offerred a US reissue 70's bass, and it really does look a beautiful bass, here's a photo of it.
if its anywhere neer your £500 budget snap his or her hand off, they're lovely basses.
