Hey lowend lovers!!! I'm from Kazakhstan so my English is not good by I'll try my best. Because of Shavo Odadjian and Paul Grey my love for basses is in my life for almost 15 years. I'm am intermediate player and have a plenty of interesting gear, pictures are included. I built a Thunderbird copy with 36 inches scale length and EMGs in it because it's my favorite shape. I like heavy metal music. I listen to Rammstein for 22 years now since I was 8 yo. Also I like nu metal such as Slipknot (of course)))), Korn, Limp bizkit, System of a down, death-doom - My dying bride etc. And of course - all of Tuomas Saukkonen's bands. My interests are bass guitars building, modding, effects and different plug-ins for basses. Hail Odin!!!!

Of course I don't wanna drill holes. I was thinking of push/pull switch or replacing the tone pot for middle PU only volume pot or make another control cavity plastic cover with built-in kill switch only for the middle pickup. I just wanna know is it possible to just mute or shut off that pickup or I have to put it's resistance in the scheme such as a some kind of a resistor or just a piece of wire.

Hey you all D-rocers! Is there someone who swapped the pickup selector? I want to modify mine to be able to have neck and bridge pickups in parallel. So there is the question. Can I just install a kill switch only for the middle pickup so that in the all 3 PUs position I with the middle disengaged to get the desired tone?
