In my long term band, the guitarist's wife (who sings) took a hissy fit and left the band. As we had pre booked gigs myself, the guitarist and the drummer create a new band, called The Big Boss Band, that played mostly Ska. At the gigs people loved us and we went down like a house on fire.

Unfortunately, after a few months sitting in alone watching Sat night TV at the weekend, the guitarist's wife decided she wanted to join the band again. That was the end of The Big Boss Band - no more Ska for us

I have 11 basses. Frankly I think that's a bit weird.

Sounds good on a P bass, for some growl and clank.

I was playing guitar, while supposedly participating in a team meeting online and somebody said, 'where's that music coming from?'. I'd forgotten to mute myself.

Ooooops....

Come to Scotland, only the central belt is in partial lockdown. The midges are away now.

Ignore the rain

People don't have a reason to buy a new bass, if it's exactly the same as their old bass. Fender has realised this and have started to create new models, much more frequently, than they did in the past. Then when a new model of bass or guitar comes out, you have an excuse to splash the cash. So you'd better grab that Ultra..... fast , because the The Fender Ultra Mega Elite Deluxe Jazz Bass  is in the pipeline 😀

I had a windfall a year ago, bought some lovely basses, haven't had a gig since early March and I just sit there looking at them and feeling miserable. 

So the answer is no.

I like to think it makes me look like a Victorian explorer but it probably makes me look more like a morris dancer 😂

It's good that you watched it, you're probably in the minority.

I have a couple of friends who have both suffered severe motorbike accidents, which meant a long stay in hospital to rebuild them.

Both of them got a large amount of compensation/insurance.

With the money, both of them went out and bought a more powerful bike than the one they had the crash with.

It was recorded in a weekend, mostly live, up in Skye.

It sounds very organic and spontaneous.

It consists of the older stuff that she'd written before she got her record contract.

I think it's her best album.

By the time you've tuned it up, the gigs over.

This is the guitarist in my band. About 3 years ago he went and got a tiny tattoo on his arm. Look at him now, he's obsessed!
