1. Price drop for quick sale! New price: £2150.- (€3070.-)insured and shipped to EU countries.
 2.
particularly love that first vid,.....nice one!!
Thanks Shonks. Have to mention that this AC 1600 is really good working machine in every situation. I have used it for playing the styles of music from jazz to heavy rock and it sounds very good in every situation and it has killer B sting. Just I have to sell that beauty because my financial situation requires it (and fortunately I have backup bass like Stenback 5). There is one example more where I'm playing my Alleva Coppolo: https://www.youtube....h?v=GHVDdYAIzxY
 3. Hi. I put my 2007 Alleva Coppolo 1600 Limited 5 string up for sale (serial nr. B5 0046). I bought it 4 years ago from BassGallery. Through these years I really thought that I don't never put it up for sale. But never say never When I got daughter 1 year and 4 month ago then after that the things are changed ) and I'm ready to sell that really good instrument. I wrote to Jimmy Coppolo (in 2011) and asked some information about that instrument and here is the answer: "Hi Henno, that bass is actually a limited spalted alder that I built January 2007. It's painted in nitrocellulose lacquer finish. It has an African rosewood board which I can't find that wood any more. That bass was real light weight and I recall it sounding great. More than it has 60's pickup spacing. That bass new would cost over $6,000.00 US so I think you got it for a fair price. Congratulations and enjoy it." Like they told me from BassGallery then I should be the second owner. It means that when I got the bass then it already had some cosmetic defects like some ding and dots. There is two small chips in the finish on the front of the body (under the first string and between neck and neck pickup). I have provided photos of this below. That was the reason why I ordered the pick guard from Jimmy Coppolo. There is another small chip in the finish on the back of the bass just below where you would rest your right arm. All in all the bass plays and sounds amazing. I have supplied video clips and photos of this bass below. Price [s]£2500[/s].- 2150.- insured and shipped to EU countries. No trades please.

Scale Lenth: 34”
Fingerboard Radius: 10”
Bridge: 19mm
Pickups: Alleva-Coppolo Home made
Preamp: Alleva-Coppolo 2 band

Finishes: Nitrocellulose lacquer
Body Wood: Spalted Alder
Neck Wood: Maple
Fingerboard: African Rosewood
Weight: 3,7 kg
ProTech gig bag included
https://www.youtube....baeRa0cTDz05y0H https://www.youtube....baeRa0cTDz05y0H https://www.youtube....baeRa0cTDz05y0H https://www.youtube....baeRa0cTDz05y0H

 8. Hi. Right order is: nr 1Squier Affinity PJ 4string, nr 2 Alleva Coppolo RA4 and nr 3 Squier Vintage V
 9. For me the lesson is that you can find cheap instruments that sound as good as high end basses and it's good starting point for beginners for example. If someone tells me that "sorry this Squier is so cheap bass and because of that it doesn't sound good in my hands" then I can't be agree with that. You just should and need to do more practice and develop your technical skills. There is no difference if you have expensive or cheap instrument but not good skills to play bass then your bass playing can sound bad.
 10. Hi again guys. Sorry that I'm gonna repeat myself but I'm so surprised how good can Squiers sound! I took this Squiers directly from the wall of local music store without any setup. Affinity PJ costs about £200.-, Vintage V jazz about £280.- and Alleva Coppolo RA around £2 500.- All basses wear roundwounds. I just marked basses like nr1, nr2 and nr 3. Which one is the winner? https://soundcloud.com/henno-kelp/blind-test-nr2
 11. Thanks a lot to everyone for your comments and thoughts!! Before I bought this Squier I had chance to play 4 Squiers and this one was the best one. Another three were ok.
When you post about what the playability etc. was like it'd be really interesting to hear your thoughts of the 2 and if the affinity require much more effort to play.
For me there isn't big difference for playability just I like Pinos neck little bit more because of nut width is a bit bigger than Squier has. And Squier definitely don't require much more effort to play. I did also professional setup for Squier. Just basic setup with low action nothing more. And now ladies and gentleman the truth is: number 1 is Squier Affinity and number 2 is Fender Pino Palladino
No. 2 seemed to have more presence, i thought your playing on Bass 1 on the 3rd clip was better than Bass 2 on the 3rd clip, there were a couple of untidy fret noises, so I thought No. 1 my have been the Pino due to better playability.... but i preferred the tone of bass number 2 so I'm going to guess No.2 is the Pino.
Sorry but my finger technique isn't very solid sometimes I can handle sometimes not and I recorded Fender Pino first and I hadn't warmed up jet.
Bass 1 seems more prominent in the mids, bass 2 more even in the tone throughout. Having had the 62 pickups, they made my Precisions more middy so I`ll guess bass 1 being the Squier.
Yes I am agree that 62 pickups are more middy and Pino is more even. Need to mention that first song (I Want you back) recorded with foam mute under the strings and tone knob half way on both basses. Second tune recorded(Blues) without foam and tone knob turned full down. Third song (YYZ) recorded without foam and tone knob turned full up. Yes both has rosewood fingerboard.
 12.
It sounds to me like you should play the bass first. Thinking of the old thing of "it's in the fingers". You should make sure that "Painy factor" works with the bass. It's not simply a matter of price.
+1 For example I payed for my Squier affinity about £162.- (for new) and honestly I was ready to pay much more. Why? You can hear and read about that from this topic http://basschat.co.u...lladino-p-bass/
 13. Hi to everyone. I recorded these two basses for comparison. If we would compare the price of both basses then there is so so so big difference between these two basses. I payed £165.- for new Squier and £2800 for new Fender Pino. But If I gonna compare the sound of both basses then there isn't very big difference. Both basses have the same Thomastik flatwound strings. Recorded through the PreSonus audio interface in to my laptop. No effects. Squier upgraded with Fender Custom shop '62 pickups. On the track I didn't mark which one is Fender and which one is Squier just wrote bass number 1 and bass number 2. Could you figure out which one is Fender and which one is Squier? 14. Very good buyer. Good communication and fast transaction! Recommended.
