2. Thanks for the really positive comments. Some interest but still available.
3. Great comments, thanks. It is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship and deserves someone who is going to make the most of it.
4. It's a beautiful bass with a terrific tonal/sound range. Priced to sell, an exceptional bargain for someone.
5. For Sale or Trade - £1300 Location - West Malling, Kent Hi, After a lot of thought I have decided to retire from bass playing and sell my last two basses, so I'm relisting my ACG Über ART Recurve 4 (previously listed in January 2016 http://basschat.co.uk/topic/277936-for-sale-or-trade-acg-uber-art-recurve-4/page__p__2966511__hl__rob%20allen__fromsearch__1#entry2966511) to be followed later by my Fretted Rob Allen Deep Five. I've not played the ACG much and it has not been gigged by me (gave up gigging years ago). Overall it is in very good condition although there are the cosmetic issues previously described - three areas where the finish is less than perfect and has a very slight ripple (one on the headstock and two on the body) There are also two extremely small indentations on the top side edge of the headstock. The bass is shown and described on the ACG website:-http://www.acguitars...-art-recurve-4/ Details Maple burl top on white limba body, with Acrylic Resin Treatment (ART) in Aqua Blue. 5 piece wenga neck with satin finish on back and maple pinstripe, and Luminlay markers. 6. Hi, change of mind on trades, I'd be prepared to consider a trade for a Jazz type bass or something similar (something to remind me of my early bass playing days), cash adjustment either way. Thanks.
7. Hi Twincam. It is an incredible bass, but to be honest I've found the change from my beautiful almost low tech Rob Allen to a piece of 21st century 'wizardry' a bit too challenging. As I don't gig anymore the Rob Allen is perfect as I don't even have to plug it in. It seemed a shame to me to consign the ACG to a box under the sofa for the foreseeable future - but it would probably have had to go sooner rather than later to assist in my planned move to Spain.
8. WITHDRAWN**** - ACG Über ART Recurve 4 Price or Trades: [s]£1650 £1550[/s] Location: West Malling, Kent Hi, I purchased this stunning bass from Kevsy71 just before Christmas (original post http://basschat.co.uk/topic/275150-sold-acg-uber-art-recurve-4/page__p__2937554__hl__acg__fromsearch__1#entry2937554 ). It really is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship with an amazing tonal range and finish, but it just isn't quite right for me (too much of a change from my Rob Allen Deep Five and the Yamaha SLB 200 I just sold I guess) so I've decided to let it go. The bass is in very good condition. I have confirmed with Alan Cringean the history of the solvent blemishes (two areas one between the neck and bass pickup and another area near the neck on the top horn) and he confirmed that in his opinion they pose no long term issues. There are two very small indentations on the left side of the headstock that I missed when I bought it, they are very small and it is difficult to get them to show on a photograph. Details (taken from Kevsy71's original post) Maple burl top on white limba body, with Acrylic Resin Treatment (ART) in Aqua Blue. 5 piece wenga neck with satin finish on back and maple pinstripe, and Luminlay markers. ART Maple burl fingerboard in Aqua Blue. Strung with DR Sunbeams 105 85 65 45. Pickups and electronics ACG DFM pre-amp (see http://www.acguitars...es/electronics/ ACG MC4 multi-coil pickups (see 'MC series pickups' at http://www.acguitars...basses/pickups/). Jack and XLR output. Includes Lockable Hiscox hard case, with a few marks but no dents, cracks etc. Dunlop straplocks. Luminlay LED torch. I have also changed over the pole piece and pickup screws back to the original black and have just had the bass set up and checked over at the Bass Gallery in Camden. I would prefer if it were collected but I will ship the bass within the U.K. if necessary , using the courier of the buyers choice at cost. Payment by BACS transfer or cash.
9. Just having a bit of a post christmas clear out of several years of acquisitions and came across a number of tutor books and DVD's I've collected. There is 7kg in total and I would ideally like the lot to go as one to save packing individual items up. The list is:- Todd Johnson Technique Builders DVD, Michael Manring Instrctional DVD. Books - [s]Bass encyclomedia (signed by Mike Overly[/s],[s]The Jazz Theory Book (Mike Levine)[/s], Chords for bass (Dominik Hauser inc CD), Chords an scales in the beginning (Max Palermo),Music Reading for bass (Wendi Hrehovscik), [s]Fretless bass (Bunny Bunel inc CD)[/s], Bass Fitness (Josquim Des Pres), [s]The art of walking bass (Bob Magnusson)[/s],The bass Grimoire (Adam Kadmon), Jazzology (Robert Rawlins), Essential bass technique (Peter Murray), [s]100 Tips for bass guitar (Stuart Clayton inc CD)[/s], 5 string bassic fundamentals (Brian Emmel inc CD), Single string Studies for 5 string bass (Bruce Arnold). Most are as new, many haven't been read even. I'd like to get £75 for the lot inc postage, but I will split and post if there is enough interest. Thanks, Dan OK, bit of interest in splitting the order so a few have gone (now crossed through). No sensible offers refused for the others. Cheers, Dan
