  1. Totally living the dream…

I bought one of these 12 years ago and made a stunning bass - but, a recent bout of spinal pain means I need to wise up.

I was stunned at the quality of the body on the original one I built and spent about £500 on making a “custom” from it.

    it hasn’t landed yet.

ive already costed making it exactly what i want…and its £450 on top which im not going to do.

but another bass is on the way and it needs to not stay long.

Get ready for the weight…14lbs ish.

    £130 collected

I really want to get Stu Hamm…… but his solo stuff in particular just leaves me cold. I saw him with Joe Satriani many years ago on the G3 tour, and absolutely loved his contribution, but having listened to his solo stuff, including live performances…… I just do not connect at all.

Who do you feel you should like, but just don’t?

I too don’t really “get” SH.

    Saw him live once.

    Still didn’t get it.

There’s just something “ham fisted” - pardon the pun, like he’s just wellying it.

Same with some stuff I’ve seen Louis Johnson doing…Arhythmic thumping…how hard can I hit this bass.

Anyhow, each unto their own I guess.

What are the pickups.? You may need to mention they are not original.Unless you weren't aware they are not original.

hiya @bubinga5 I think this was mine originally, went to @bassfan - regret selling it, it’s a good one!

The pickups are original - the covers are solid covers which I changed as my playing style, with the exposed polepieces and low action meant I got blisters quickly.

These covers allowed me to keep the action low and to dig in without this issue.

    Fully reversible and non invasive.

A 'Gross' is twelve dozen, so 144.

144 x 40, your big birthday, is 5760, which is close enough to the price they'll be in this country to make it your destiny to buy one of these.

It's fate, nothing can be that big a coincidence. The heavenly bodies have aligned and given you a sign that only the foolhardy would ignore.

But don't let me pressure you. 😁

I’m realistic, I know what’s in her bank account…she could easily do it…

But the reason her account is healthy and mine is always at DNR stage is because she doesn’t buy basses 😂
