I play to be like an old grouchy ! But it's only for the joke More serious , I share your opinion and hope to try this gear . The more important is not the country of made but who thought the electric diagram , whitch defined the technical spécifications and the quality of components . The result and the bassist playing pleasure depend of this points .

@Merton yes , I know that , and the china can build very good quality , but at the start , a real TRACE ELLIOT is made in UK . The famous "things were better before" Before Gibson and Peavey "TE" products .

It seems to be nice ! But I'm sad for the "made in china"

I couldn't agree with you , the obvious defect of old generation TRACE ELLIOT is the excessive weight . I say ever that for me it is the perfect amplifier and we haven't done any better , but I have all my TRACE ELLIOT units only at home . On stage I play on BOSE L1 model II or EDEN TWX 500 (to small and lightweight !) with Phil Jones C4 cab. I am 59 , lot of gear handling in the past and my back does not fail to tell me ! I am a truly TRACE ELLIOT lover , but the years make me careful for my vertebraes

But with TRACE ELLIOT , only the sound is heavy !

How many watts ? I never counted ! It's not important , I don't search many watts but the best productions of TRACE ELLIOT UK .

@zero9 in the TRACE ELLIOT family , I have just 1 head COMANDO 100 (carpet) , 1 head GP12 AH 300 (carpet) , 1 combo GP12 SMX 4 X 10" , 1 old GP 11 (tolex) bi-amplification , 1 head V6 (carpet) - it's my favorite!- , 1 head V8 (tolex) (very rare) , 1 head EPAS 400 stereo ( very rare) , 3 cabinets 1018 (tolex) , 1 cabinet 1818 (tolex) , 2 cabinets 1153T (carpet) , 2 cabinets 2013H (carpet) . All in very good condition , it's an important thing for me . I can make the war !! But I prefer playing bass with very nice sound
