    I had my acoustic guitar tuned to DADGAD (tried DADF#AD but couldn't connect with it) for over 10 weeks - I had intended to keep it that way until I had written a new song using it - that's the only way I've done it in the past but this time I've given up and put it back into standard tuning - it's a relief TBH. I decided I need to buy another guitar and to keep one of them for working with non-standard tunings.

      In the past I have left one guitar tuned Open E for some amateur ambient noodling or sloppy slide guitar 😊

    New culinary discovery... kabsah spice. Made a fabulous chicken dish last night using it.

      Ingredients seem to differ, the one I went for is:

      Black Pepper, Cloves, Cardamom, Saffron, Black Lime, Bay Leaves, Nutmeg.

      Should be nice.

      In this situation I usually try another instrument  like piano or guitar, after a few days I'm happy to get back to the comfort and joy of bass playing.
