1. This is sort of a different discussion to the original, but, to be honest, every custom bass I've owned/played has not been good as the "mass produced" basses I still play today. 10's of thousands of pounds of basses have been owned by me, and still the best one I've ever played is a Sandberg, that I got secondhand from this site for something like 400 quid years ago.
2. Oh and I just remembered on this tour, I saw they use TC Electronic Polytone tuners, they have them mounted in that setup area in the picture!
3. It's pretty nice around here, better location than Harrogate where I lived before - actually some things nearby!
4. I have been to Tadkebab once! When we moved here, it was closed for refurb, so as soon as it opened, we gave it a try! It was okay, the name is better than the food!!
5.
I'd love to take a walk around there. How do you go about it ?
Just go along when its on really, think its twice a day, costs $10 or something.
6. Oh and in the custom shop I felt this really light weight strat, it was crazy light, not sure if its out now or a future model! Also, the mexico factory isn't far from here, and they cannot make hardware (like pictured above), but apart from that have the same kind of machines apparently, and actually, everyone in Corona seemed Mexican anyway, haha. Oh and this is the name for that American build thing I couldn't remember properly... http://www2.fender.c...merican-design/
7. I've not really posted much here for years, but anyway, thought this might be of interest to some, just back from holiday in the US and while there I went for a tour of the Fender Factory in Corona. Some pictures (from my phone sorry, didn't take a proper camera) below, as its kinda interesting. Strangely, you cannot buy anything from them unless you have an American address, they do this build series thing where you can basically get an instrument built, but only if you are in America - they only just stopped this being available to anyone who lived anywhere, and had cheap shipping even, but alas its no more - saw a couple of the instruments from that on the line though (picture below). The photo order is backwards, sorry, took ages to paste the links! Not sure how to use the media on this site anymore!! 8. Could you see a thread for this guitar?? No PM's or anything that far back.
9. Is the buyers bassist still out there anywhere? Wish I remembered his username!!
10. And I seem to recall a link between air planes and the band they were in?? Haha.
11. Sorry, unsure where to put this. But a number of years back, probably in 2009 or so, I sold a PRS Custom 24 20th Anniversary Guitar on here. I got this guitar from a mate, and now that mate wants to see if I can find it so he can buy it back (along with another guitar of mine I sold which he loved and passed up the opportunity to buy! But that was on harmony central). Anyway, I remember selling this to the guitarist of a bassist on here, his wife collected it from Peterborough. I managed to find some pictures! I have more if it would help anyone. 12. Think I owned this before! Was a decent jazz!
13. This is business and the real world. It can be harsh, but companies exist purely to make money.
14. I might have to give up on this one, haha.
15. Bassist available in the Leeds area, I am just outside in Pool in Wharfedale. Played for years, but went travelling and quit my band so haven't been in a band for almost 2 years now I think it is. I've played most types of music (and even recording/gigged on guitar/drums too), but I'm not really interested in generic indie. Hip-hop, funk, or even rock/metal/hardcore would be preferred. Got an amp again now, so ready to gig. Will consider covers bands.
16. Swapped a bass for a lens with Steve, nice bloke and now I have a wide angle lens which I've wanted for months! Recommended!
17. Sorry, swapped for a lens now.
18. Are these not very popular? I thought it was a good deal!
19. Yeah, there is a build thread on here from when I got it! It's the third custom bass I got and by far the best.
