Long time since I took this one out of its case and played it.

I must've been crazy!

It does it all...and it only weighs 7.3 lbs.

Very nice bass, no fun changing strings, though.

People complain about the neck dive on ordinary 'birds, this one's going to be off the scale!

It's always been a non-issue for me.

No, the instructions say it's best to apply the Thumb Fin before plugging in and tuning up but only after checking for inclement weather.

Never used a thumb rest myself, but isn't something longer and more parallel to the strings more useable?

It's connected by suction...you can change the position.

The shape doesn't seem perfect but it should get the job done.
