  3. On checking I see that Bass Direct sell these for £99 plus postage. Even given that the full price for the USA version is nearer £150 my initial ask was a bit high methinks. So mine is reduced to £75. Now £65.

    Price includes UK delivery.

Here’s a genuine USA Hipshot Ultralite style D tuner in 12mm or 1/2”. HE6Y Shiny nickel with a clover widdly bit.

This has seen almost no use and is unmarked. With mounting screw and original box.

I've gone back to 5 strings for those lower notes.

  4. I'm not sure that these were in the correct place to sell so I've moved them here.

I have moved over to wireless and I'm glad I did. Freedom from cables!

I have a cheap set for home use and I had these for my rehearsals/gigs and they've worked flawlessly for a handful of rehearsals.

I recently bought a 2nd hand Shure setup so these are for sale.

This wireless bug set comes with a charging case. It has only been used a handful of times and has worked flawlessly. The case will charge at least 2 to 3 times. It's a great concept.

Works in the 5.8GHz range so less susceptible to interference.

Includes the bug charging lead and original box. All in excellent condition at a price considerably less than new.

    Price includes UK delivery.

  5. I'm not sure that these wireless bugs are in the right place to sell. So trying them here.

I've gone wireless and I'm very glad I did. I have a cheap set of 'bugs' for home use and I used these for 3 or 4 band rehearsals where they have been perfect.

I bought a 2nd hand Shure wireless setup with the built in tuner so these are now for sale.

  6. I have one of the Cort variety in black. If this is as good as it should be given the quality of mine and the provenance of yours then it will be superb.

Mine isn't 'standard'. It arrived with a defunct pre-amp from new. After a negotiated discount I fitted a Noll pre with passive tone always on and shielded the cavities. Mine needed a shim in the neck pocket to get the setup right and the neck was poorly finished (unfinished more like) to the rear. Tru Oil and Gunstock wax plus some elbow grease soon sorted that.

So a bit of work turned a good bass into a bit of a WOW! one. My point? The Ergos will be the same, zero fret, 35", great body shape and angled back headstock. The quality will be a step up. This will be something special.

    GLWTS.

  7. I’m managing FX GAS (poorly). Microthumpinator, tuner and compressor to start, then the wonderful grizzly that is an always on subtle overdrive.
Then the EBS Billy Sheehan Ultimate came onto my radar. Why? I’m far from sure but it gives me proper distortion if I should ever need it and has an FX loop in both clean and dirty channels. A switch in the dirty means the BS is always on and an Xotic RC Bass Boost gives me just that in the clean loop.
Then I thought I’d try an octave pedal to fill on some sonic space. I’ve experimented with both a Sub n Up and a Micro POG and the POG won.
So I have a great clean sound, boost that adds colour, mild  distortion and not so mild with the BS boosted.
