Absolutely terrible news, I'm sorry to hear it.
Could we bypass the payment system to register Bridge has a seller? Seems the least we could do.

I remember how awful the one at Bass Direct was when they first came out. Shockingly bad.

I had to send one of the new Cutlass models back because the shielding was so bad so do make sure to check that out.

Yeah, I wouldn't mark that has urgent.

Can't go wrong with an Ibanez.
JD - What is the bass? More helpful than just a picture.

You do unplug when you're not playing, right?

Never give up, ever. Whatever it is that rocks your world, whatever it is that feeds your soul and gives you purpose, never let go. When you’re gone, it’s over. Until then, f**k everything and do it.
Until you realise I would like a wife, children, a mortgage, enough to take care of everyone and being a broke musician is going nowhere after ten years.

Still using the Beta MKII every rehearsal. I tend to prefer the Beta for my Jazz bass and Spark Booster for my Precision. Really liking the vintage tones and low end retention of the Beta. Works well with my Blower Box.

The amount of pointless guitar accessories that are pushed on us - who buys this cr@p?

LMAO that headstock.
Exactly why I think fakes should be banned.

Ah the joys of gigging.
I went to the bar last night. Had a couple of beers. Got home. Watched a bit of telly. Only thing I had to carry was my wallet.
You've got to absolutely love the gigging thing to put up with it. I never did.
Would rather be gigging than sitting on my arse.
Music is meant to be played live and not confined to the bedroom.

The highest tension roundwounds that I've experienced are GHS Bass Boomers and Fender 7150 nickels. A set of either with the 105 E should suffice.

I would try and pick up a Squier 40th Anniversary if you can find one still. Great bass for not a lot of cash.

I noticed Fender custom shop have announced new models for 2024… if you’ve got £5k to spare you can buy two badly bolted together pieces of wood!
Out of interest, does anyone here think there’s something magical in these custom shop specials? Would you spend 5k on one of these or for that money might it be possible to buy something of better value!
You cared enough to post this thread?

34" because short scales lose fundamental to my ears.

I beg to differ. Have you ever tried a 30/50/70/90 set? Such a set has a lot of twang but lacks in grunt IMO. The difference between 45-100 and 45-105 is negligable, tried both gauges. I usually buy 45-105's.
Was the bass properly set-up to accommodate the smaller gauge? I've never had issues with extra light gauges.

The PMT in Northampton felt like that ten years ago.

These are fantastic jazz basses. As good as any later versions and can be updated with any custom shop pickups that you desire. This price for a USA Fender Jazz with case is a bargain in my opinion. Good luck with your sale.
The Am Std series already have Custom Shop pickups.
Great basses and a fantastic price. If anything, I think you have undervalued it. GLWTS.

I would tell the original drummer to look elsewhere. We're doing absolutely fine and you're not required.
