1.
it looks nice, is that the model called "American Deluxe" (there's so many damn variations of Fender instruments nowadays)? I am scheduled to fly over to London next week and am interested if it's still available then.
It is indeed an "American Deluxe" Sir.

Bass now on hold pending the usual stuff...

Thanks for the interest folks. :)

  2.
Well if you sell the fretless ray necktie say £200, and then sell the sabre with status neck you could get a nice price, but people are rather keen on having it all original, so it would be a case of waiting for the right buyer or separating it up and then selling the parts.
Yeah, i don't want to sell it anyway, just didn't want to devalue it further, just incase :)

  3. I have a Sabre with a fretless stingray neck on. I picked it up on here a couple of months ago for a first go at fretless and i am a convert, it is a great bass, anyhow the necks are def interchangeable cos i have tried the fretted maple neck from my Ray on it and it works!! (Less bolt holes though).

I plan to upgrade it to a Status fretless neck at some point so i may have one available. Does anyone have any idea what a Stingray fretless neck is worth?

+ Is adding a Status neck to an (Already nowhere near 100% original) Sabre going to devalue it much?

    Cheers
    TK

  4. Bought this bass around 6 months ago from a guy on Talkbass in the US. I had wanted one in this colour combo for ages and the only place i could find one was there!

It is the last (recently diss-continued) model with 22 frets, rolled fingboard edges and 18v 3 band pre-amp.

It is a great bass, really versatile with the best jazz neck i have ever played (and i had a 73 at one point!) I am selling because i have a bad case of Musicman Gas again!!! :)

Comes with original tags, hard case and straplocks.

Badass bridge in pics now removed, so comes with original bridge.

Price £700 delivered, fully insured to anywhere in the UK.

Will trade for MM Stingrays, Sabres, Bongos or Sterlings. Pref with rosewood boards and ideally not black (unless it has a Status neck   ).

  5.
Price should be negotiable, I'll ask him for better pictures.
Mmmmm. Very nice!

    Would trades be an option?

PM'd for pictures and price negotiations!

  6. Hey, nice bass! I might be interested in a staight swap for my US Deluxe Jazz (just like the one in my Avatar). Pm if interested and i will send you some actual pics.

  7.
Or buy my Flea
Mate, you know i would love to buy the flea... Now, If you dont mind waiting 3 months or doing nice interest free monthly instalments, give me a shout..............:)

  8.
So Tommy, now you've decided to hang on to both, which is the favoured neck - the Jazz or the MM?
Still the Jazz, it is just so easy to play.

The Stingray is just such a good bass you know, soundwise, it rules, i would really regret selling it for sure. + It is not like the neck is unplayable, it is just a bit more of a handful if you know what i mean. (I just need to man up a bit) + save up/GAS for a Sterling as well!! :)
