Hi....bought a jazz bass kit for some home recording. The controls seem strange... I’ve contacted the supplier who claim that there are separate vol controls.... however when the bridge pickup is turned off or down, the volume of the neck pickup increases significantly....when the neck pickup is switched off.... the volume of the bridge pickup is pretty low. I thought it maybe a pan switch but apparently not. Is this normal for a Jazz? Many Tks..

Ok.. tested it...its definitely a blend knob....full on it maximises the bridge pickup and minimises the neck pu.... full off it maximises the neck pu and minimises the bridge... ?

I,ll post a picture......all that has to be connected(male and female plugs) are the pickups to the vol pots...and the ground wire to the bridge......impossible to get it wrong..

Its a cheapie Thomman kit... its all pre wired no soldering 😳... cant wire it wrongly..

Hi.... recently finished a jazz bass kit... the volume controls seem to work strangely... the bridge volume seems to work like a blend knob...volume increases as its turned off... and can’t seem to get the bridge pickup on its own.. have i messed up or is that how a jazz works?(I’m a guitar player) tks appreciate it.
