  1. Just something about those days.I love the wry smile on the bassist. It's like he knows something nobody else does.Anyone know him?
  2. I'm new to C.B. I'm a 66 yr old Yank and have played bass forever.I played in all types of bands from Pop to Punk,G.B. and even as a bassist in an Elvis impersonators' band. But I never played with a pick.In the early days I was taught picks were for guitar.I always loved the pick tone however.Well for the last few months I've been trying to learn this skill. It isn't easy for me but I've slowly been making progress.I have watched the tutorials, bought the books and any tips will be appreciated. But it seems to me one just needs to stick to it and do it often.
  3. I have a One Control 360 Blue preamp pedal that is based on the Acoustic amp.It sounds pretty good and it fits in my pocket.
  4. Hi,this is my first post on B.C. I'm happy to be here. I just bought a Laney Black Country Customs "85" and so far I'm really liking it.It sounds great, tracks well and it's operation is straight forward.
  5. After ordering the HB "Chickenbacker"in August mine arrived to my home in the States yesterday. For the money it's hard to complain, with shipping it came in at $280usd.Out of the box it was just about in tune with the set up and action very playable. The finish is very nice and while it isn't a exact copy to a Ric soundwise it has a unique sound of its own, very usable. At my age and as an owner of 19 basses a genuine Ric doesn't make sense so this will do just fine.To anyone wanting that Rickenbacker vibe without a couple of grand to spare, don't be afraid to grab the HB rb-414 cb.If you can get one as they seem to sell out quickly.
