  1. The buffer doesn't have an XLR. It's the MESA high-wire dual. I've read about that for the Stomp. Would that be a case of asking the sound guy to turn it off? I know you can change the impedance from instrument to line level from its settings.
  2. Hello, Got a gig with my band (alt/metal), and there are no amps in the venue. Will bring my combo just to be sure. But want to try something. My pedal board setting is Tunner->Darkglass B7k-> HX stomp->MESA buffer. I ve seen videos with people going straight from HX stomp to PA/FOH, without an amp. Would it have any issues if it's from the buffer rather than the Stomp? Also thinking of using the parallel output of B7k as a DI. Does it matter if I use the jack Vs XLR output? Any help would be much appreciated Cheers
  3. Hello I got the Mesa eventually. Does wonders, very bright tone. Have to switch off to play something more mellow. Good thing is that the Mesa puts pedals in a loop essentially. So you connect bass and amp to Mesa, and there is a send/return on the other side for your pedals. Therefore you have it in front and back.
  4. Hello I got the Mesa eventually. Does wonders, very bright tone. Have to switch off to play something more mellow. But perfect for all kinds of heavy music. If you are interested the 'rig doctor' on YouTube has a very extensive video on the topic. It seems that he is endorsed by Mesa or he just really likes it.
  5. Hello, I'm trying to find a small toggle switch to replace on my mesa boogie buffer. I live in the UK and whatever I find seems to be big and lumpy. I've ordered a mini switch pack from Amazon and they are still big. See the picture for the size. It looks like it's the same as the switch on a fender jazz active bass. Any recommendations would be great Thanks.
  6. Hello, As im building up my pedalboard (6 atm tuner, big muff, sans amp svt, HX stomp, exp pedal, noise gate, possibly adding 2-3 more) I am thinking of adding a buffer in the mix. Im doing research and it seems that mesa has one of the best products out there. Has anyone ever used it on bass? Any other suggestions on buffer pedals would be much appreciated Thanks
