  2. Hi Sorry iv not been on hear for a while iv have preoccupied
  3. Yep that's right 1 year per 1" you should never try and dry out in a large lump then try and deep cut it ,it will move all over the place
  4. Not really but it is in the original build of the jig, couple of days , you can not see in the vid but there are 2 profiles which are a blown up template of the nut and the heel so this is what is being followed ,it important that the shape size and thickness of the neck is correct so this is templated and finished with the router
  5. I have been making short little vids recently of my processes and tooling i built this compound radius jig recently to speed up making necks , by spending a little time on making pattern followers it will will reproduce a neck the same every time VID-20200812-WA0000.mp4
  6. I sometimes will bring wood into the house for a couple of weeks, just enough wood for 1 or 2 necks if the wood has been standing in my work shop for a couple weeks, this will helps condition the wood to the IN virement further , i will then re machine the wood , but it has to be dry to start with , if the wood wants to miss behave (Twist wind in the length, Shrink further at the heel )it should of done by then ,this will help with confidence be for you turn, it into a neck ,
  7. Warman Guitars are good on prices for truss rods
