  1. True, but buying a JayDee is not easy, living in denmark (inside EU). -and furthermore not easy to sell this fella with a not-known-name. -but perhaps you are still right!
  2. I have an Old german Alembic-/Jaydee-wannabe made by Høyer. its really well build and very nice to play, but the sound is not really me. Something like old strings even if they are new. I don’t know a thing about pickups (looks like obl-guitar pickups to me) and preamps, but would really like it to sound like a JayDee. Any ideas/suggestions?
  3. Sorry, I “hijacked” this topic. My intention was to supply the bass originally asked for. I understand the problem, and the input has been removed BR
  4. Hello Thomas I have a pair of 4 strings to trade with you (in Denmark) (sms 31141836) g&L 2000e from 80/81 yamaha BB 1100s sandberg elektra tt4 a german handbuild headless 4string -double p bass pickup. br
  5. Thanks for all your inputs-I’ll post some additional fotos later today. anybody got ideas of which brand the pickups are from? the preamp has fixed balance between the pickups and 3 band eq.
  6. Hello BCs I bought this trace Elliot 10 years ago. I was told it was a prototype, build before the t-bass. Has anyone any information on this bass? It has the Best jazz/Musicman combination I ever heard. BR from denmark
  7. Hello out there Is there a difference in construction between the “old”/vintage Jaydees and the new ones? Old ones seem to sell at prices almost as high as new ones. I’m looking for a bass with an aggressive tone, mostly slapping. Any opinion on what model that fits my needs? - or knowledge of the differences between them? Best regards from Denmark
