  1. Very sorry to hear of his passing. One of my earliest bass heroes. I was lucky to meet him when he toured with Jon Anderson, a true gentleman, and so humble. Also delighted when he played the Before The Dawn shows, so I saw him again twice. I was always amazed by that sound he got from his fretless Wal!!! Off to listen to Grace and Danger by John Martyn, then some Kate Bush and Brand X. Gone but never to be forgotten. Thanks for the music, John!
  2. Man, I have serious GAS for this model. But, I've just bought Clarky's Surf Green CIJ Precision and I've no dough. One day. GLWTS.
  3. Congrats to whoever bought this. Great nick, original Badass, the two neck plates and case candy. Perfect. Never played one but with the reputation they have and the looks, well... All the best, Srdjan.
  4. Seriously lovely bass. Any chance you could post a few photos of the bass as it is now?
  5. Top bloke. I bought Clarky's Fender CIJ Surf Green 70RI Precision. A lovely bass as described - in fact exceeded my expectations. A quick and hassle-free deal concluded with great communications. Bass arrived two days early in excellent packaging. He's been described elsewhere as 'one of basschat's finest'. I concur with that opinion. A pleasure to do business with. Bill
  6. That's one bass gone - one more to go! This forum should come with a warning: Please GAS responsibly - when the fun stops, STOP!
  7. Seriously nice bass - especially with the original Badass bridge. No idea what difference the later Fender Hi-Mass bridge makes to the sound, but this is the original edition I would fork out for. Pity I've got nothing to fork at the moment, even if this is still for sale. This forum is torture!
  8. Great offer and I'm sure it won't hang about very much longer. Unfortunately I've recently bought a Lakland 55-02 which has exhausted my bass fund - so need to sell before I buy. It's a seriously gorgeous bass and I'll be sorry to miss it if it goes. Just bad timing. Regards Bill
  9. Thanks mate. I'll have a think while I try to get rid of a couple of basses.
  10. Hi. Lovely bass. Can you please describe the neck profile? What I mean is - is it a chunky neck like some Precisions or more like say, a 62 Jazz profile in respect to the depth of the neck? I do believe that these CIJ basses tend to have slimmer necks depth wise than their US counterparts. (I have a late 80s MIJ 62RI Jazz which has the slimmest neck profile together with a 1.5" nut width - really comfortable). Again, really, really nice bass. Pity I have to sell my Fender road Worn Flea Signature before I buy. Cheers mate.
