  1. Hi Sandberg lovers, I've been using Sandberg 5 strings for many years. I ended up ordering a custom bass from them. It's a TT5 passive base with a paulownia body. There are some details like the luminiscent sidedots or the ramp. I received it 6 months ago and I only play it now. I kept my VM2-5 25th Anniversary as a spare wich seemed light to me at the time but wich weighs as a truck today compared to the 2,7kg of my custom one ! I'm definitevely a Sandberg addict !!
  2. Yep, same here. I've been used to have great communication with them for years and nobody answered my former mail. So, maybe here I can have an answer ? I've received my custom order bass wich is great but I've noticed something regarding strings. I play with Sandberg strings 048/120 (5S) and it's what I asked in my order. The strings are, for sure, 048/120 but they don't look like Sandberg strings. The end of the strings (wich goes into tne machine head) is cover by black nylon. Usely, Sandberg strings are without any nylon... Did anybody noticed this too ? BTW the strings sound very good and that's why I'd like to know what they are

  8. Wow, such a beauty ! Is it a 35" or 34" ? What a pity that you are not interested in a trade
  9. Hi everyone, FS/FT, a beautiful Mike Lull NRT-5 (NRT for Non Reverse Thunderbird) It was made in oct-2013 This was one of the favorite models of Mike Lull who was a fan of the Gibson Thunderbird and who worked on a non reverse body in order to erase the imbalance of the regular T-Birds. It's a custom handmade model wich has, moreover, the peculiarity and the rarity of offering a 34" scale and a mahogany body in red finish. The back of the neck (also mahogany with graphite reinforcements) is mat. The pickups are, of course, homemade by the boss. The bass comes in a custom made G&G case, the interior matches the hue of the bass. It's a magnificent work of art in addition to being a huge rockin' machine ! I'd say, for cars lovers, Mike Lull's T-Bird is to Gibson what Carroll Shelby's Mustang is to Ford ! It's a passive obviousely, the sting spacing is 18mm and the nut width is 45mm. The weight is 4,1kg. It comes with Dunlop straplocks + one in the back for more confortable use. I can ship in Europe FOC Feel free to contact me for more details. Open for trades, just try me Here's a link to a pictures album: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmPXt81F
  10. Hi, Could you precise the weight of this bass please ?
  11. Great transaction with Latif ! Everything was perfect, ease to pay directly in €, neat packaging and a beautifull and rare NRT5 Mike Lull ! As George Clooney would say: What else ?
  12. Great post ! I'm 3/4-thinking about buying one ! 😃 I definitely switched to the 5S a couple years ago after more of 3 decades on 4S. Now, even if I have to play a R'n'R vintage style gig I do prefer use one of my fives. I have a mixed souvenir of my former SR5 regarding its weight but the Special Series no longer seems to have this defect. I hesitate between Aqua Sparkle & Charcoal Sparkle...
  13. A trade with my BBNE2 ? (I already asked the question on another site but it was in France. Maybe the answer will be different in England 😂)
  14. This anecdote seems familiar to me. I was loaned for a few months a JB 1967 in the early '80s but I finaly went back to my Ibanez MC924 to look like Sting. Can you believe that ??!! 😂
  15. Thank you for your answer. Strange because it doesn't happen on other sites... I'm gonna check on my i-Phone settings, maybe something about the fact I'm located in a foreign country.
