Harry, at risk of coming across as a salesman: this is a superb option that should not be overlooked and fits your requirements. I cannot do much on price but will deliver at no cost if you are in Bedfordshire.
Hello thank you very much for the offer and the amp looks like what I'm looking for but I will need to wait for my gear to sell or wait a few months and I will have the money. If your amp is still available when I have the cash I will get In touch

Hi! Do you need a combo or just a head? What kind of power/size are you looking for? What sort of gigs is it going to need to handle?
Hi I'm just looking for a combo with around 300 watts that is easy to move about. I'm currently using an 80s peavey 75 watt bass amp which is very heavy.

Hello, I am thinking about upgrading my amp in a few months. My budget is around 350 and I am probably looking for a decent second hand amp, does anyone have any suggestions ?

That’s a great looking bass and sounds like a bit of a bargain, too - well acquired!
In defence of the GIOs, I have a GSR200b which doesn’t suck. It’s not pretty like the one we’re here to admire but it stays in tune, the fretwork is great, it’s the lightest bass I own and it has a conventional width nut. I genuinely like SRs but the neck on the 4s is just a bit too narrow for me so I actually prefer the GIO in that respect.
Overall ibanez make great guitars and basses with the odd bad ones

I recently picked up this Westone Spectrum out of curiosity. Westone seem to have a loyal following with lots of people suggesting they punch way above their weight. To be honest I didn't have massively high expectations as it cost next to nothing, but wow what a bass! The build quality is amazing and it feels really solid, despite only weighing 3.7kg. The tuners look like Gotohs and are really substantial, the painted neck is silky smooth and a joy to play. The two most notable elements for me however are that it sounds amazing acoustically, really resonant and punchy, and secondly is that it almost plays itself. Seriously top notch playability. I always spend ages tweaking the action of a new bass to get it how I like it, but this was totally gig-able straight out of the box! The only two negatives for me are that the standard bridge has really long grub screws on the saddles which I found to be a hindrance as I like to palm mute a fair bit. This was easily rectified by throwing a Wilkinson bridge on, which fitted perfectly. The second, and the reason for this thread, is that the pickup sounds great but it seems to be quite microphonic. When I play over the pickup, the sound of my fingers hitting the pickup cover is really loud through my amp. Any ideas how to get around this? I can't imagine there's a drop in replacement as it's a bit of a mad design...
I have the same bass in black

Nice collection, but surely the 2 acoustics should have been relegated to the back row 😁. This is Basschat!
