It is not the strap button. It is a small screw on the plate that the volume & tone controls are on. I am going to go with the cocktail stick or something similar. Thank you.

So tightening the truss Rod would put more relief (or underbow) on the neck? I have the Hofner Contemporary Violin Bass made in China.
