  1. If you can find a 2nd hand Ashdown B-Social they are excellent, there is also the B-Social lite a lot rarer and smaller.
  2. They had a few prototypes at the end of last year that they put on reverb, so there are are a few out there. I tried to buy a green one but due to a mix up missed out, waiting for them to come in, I think they were hoping to have them by now although not spoken to them about them for a while now.
  3. Get ready everyone, this weeks newsletter says they hope to have the new site live this week. Sweepstake time?
  4. Probably this at Guitar Guitar, as it would probably have been my my Betsy bass that I left at home.
  5. Another vote for Pinegrove from me, picked up another one at the recent Birmingham guitar show (also got a free leather cardholder they were handing out in the morning).
  6. My Translucent Teal Stingray will be with me forever.
  7. He was on one of the 1st Rockenteurs podcasts with Guy Pratt & Gary Kemp, and a great listen it is, they have also done a short tribute this week, seems Guy knew him quite well and it was due to this friendship he was on one of the 1st podcasts.
  8. Love this video of her playing Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go
  9. On BBC Alba the other night, and now on iPlayer. Barrowlands Roar, a potted history of the Barrowlands venue in Glasgow. Is a touch Scottish Trad music, not a surprise as it's on BBC Alba, and some subtitles but a good program.
  10. Would love a shortscale stingray but no bass budget currently☹️
  11. Biffy Clyro on Friday night in Birmingham, then Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott in Early December.
  12. Just read that this morning 😂
  13. A little way off, but Biffy Clyro in November.
  14. As a newish bedroom player very much so for me. I have 4 basses only 1 was a that's cheap and looks okay purchase (Harley Benton PB-20 SBK) (2nd bass I bought) the other 3 were all about favourite bands and players. Hofner Ignition - Obviously McCartney (my 1st bass and not a good choice for a 1st Bass IMHO) Bass centre Betsy - Who else than Guy Pratt MM Stingray - Rory MacDonald from Runrig.
  15. For me the worst thing about that track is when someone asks what was number 1 they day you were born, this is unfortunately my answer
  16. I was also there and 'Echo' your comments. The interaction amongst the band is good and you see guys playing because they are enjoying it, also clear that Nick and Guy are the the 2 mainstays and have known each other for a while, nice little bit of banter about Tony Hadley and Rogers Waters. Whole gig started with Guy on bass on One of These days, and if you watch his lockdown licks eps 5 he explains how to play it.
  17. Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets in Birmingham on Friday night!
  18. Still waiting for my tickets for Birmingham
  19. Barenaked Ladies at the RAH on Monday night, hopefully. The 4 piece is down to 2 at the moment as they continue the tour, hopefully they will be back up to 4 by Monday. KT Tunstall is one of the support acts and is one of the reasons for going to this particular gig.
  20. I tried that with a Lotus Elise years ago, same colour, faster, higher spec etc, she noticed in 30secs.🤣🤣
  21. According to this weeks email, new website coming in the next few weeks.
  22. I found a couple of little things with the coppers. When the sergeant arrived he was told not to go on the roof due to weight limits, he was shown never going beyond the door.😄 Also, when they actually stopped playing the coppers had all gone, or at least they were no longer in sight. Wasn't sure but was it Mal that turned off the amps, before George and John switched them back on to finish.
  23. The picture quality is also very good, it almost felt like it was brand new footage filmed this year with lookalikes.
  24. Agreed, just watching it now and very enjoyable, amazing watching the process.
