  1. No more long scales - last two now sold - quite a catharsis! :)

That does help a lot, but its more about the finger span for me - spot of arthritis makes my hands less mobile these days so not having to stretch out quite as far is a lot more comfy. :)

In terms of basses I`m keeping I`m down to one regular scale bass (my fave Precision that I`ll never sell due to our shared history) and from now on will only buy short scale basses, they just work so much better for me.

I'm a recent convert to 32" - there really should be more of them out there!

  2. Whilst cleaning my teeth this morning with an electric toothbrush I found I could do a passable facsimilie of 'Livin On A Prayer'.  I may have dribbled toothpasty spit down my front but consider it a small price to pay.

    That is all.

      Let's put it this way...

Have you ever seen the two of them in the same place at the same time?

After years of never having had to play LOP I now have to cover it in two bands. In both cases we have discussed how best to approach the 'talk box' type vocal part. You sir, would appear to have solved our problem and simultaneously added an unexpected minty fresh bonus. A trip down to Boots awaits methinks. The forum and two East Anglian cover bands thank you.

Just be sure to get some bibs, too, in case of dribblage.

  3. How the heck do you post a status update anyway?
