  1. Apparently several users have found it can be a bit of an unmerrygoround, and so, being all to familiar with working with buggy software, it’s not something I personally would choose to introduce into my leisure time, tbh. (Hence I’m putting together a pedalboard with as little menu diving as possible 😉👍)
  2. Hi guys, I’m thinking about getting one of these, but am wondering if it can be used without fiddling around with a PC. Presumably it has a stock IR installed that you can use (?) Cheers, Tom
  3. I've been perusing the Hotone website. The product itself looks promising, but the one thing that causes me reticence is... the copywriting! Why? because it's really bad, and if a company can't find someone to proofread their publicity (how hard can it be?) what else is being overlooked? (I don't know man, it just seems a bit amateurish.) This 'translation' issue is also evident in some of the diagrams and icons within the user interface; cryptic icons and layout that aren't particularly intuitive to me, compared to, say, the Headrush stuff. What do you think? Did you notice this too? Do you think the interface looks fine? Do you think it doesn't reflect on the product?
  4. I have a 'Tanglewood Peacemaker II' (and agree; the knobs aren't that intuitive). They are as follows: Front = Bridge volume Top = Neck Volume Bottom = Bass Rear = Treble
  5. Hi guys & gals, I'm a musician from Bristol. Been playing bass since the eighties, when I was a teen. Into all sorts; from Miles Davis to Motörhead! You can hear some of my recent compositions at: https://www.bandmix.co.uk/tomas73/ I'm here to chime in with discussions about all aspects of musicianship. 🤘😎👍
  6. Update: I ended up getting a Vitoos Iso4plus. So far so good! Very small! 👍
  7. I’ve been researching this, and other Mod Devices products. I am not easily swayed, but l must say l think this may be the way to go. When you see it in action you realise how it addresses many of the limitations of other rig solutions. l’ll find some links to add to this thread. Obviously there is more information for the already released products than the new ‘Dwarf’, but it seems that it’s almost functionally the same, just smaller than their ‘Duo’ models.
  8. Anyone familiar with this brand and/or model? 'Power Core' by Nordel Audio I need a power supply too. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00Q8V2IH8/ref=psdc_9735758031_t1_B013SOHTMG
  9. I have a late 80's Hohner 5 string version; the 'B2V', and installed active EMG pups in the mid 90's. It plays really well, although I never felt the body and neck had the resonance/tone that I'd experienced when playing a friend's Status. I haven't tried a Steinberger but I've heard that the Hohners are somewhat comparable to them even though they are 'just' licensed copies. The active EMG pups make the best of my Hohner, and I'll keep it for posterity, but it'd be interesting to see side by side comparison with similarly spec'd Status, Hohner and Steinberger models.
