Just it would cost more for a neck or refret than what I originally paid (£220 I think) which is why I'm not sure which way to go with it.
I would rather consider its actual value (400 ? 500 ? ) ... Then the refret makes sense if you like the bass enough to play it for the next twenty years 🙂

Nice strings : what are they ? Thank you

I like my nemesis amp (NA650). It’s well built and the sound is great. And it’s cheap.

Time for a visit to a good luthier 🙂
Don’t blame the brand : you bought second hand and you don’t know what the bass has endured beforehand…

What’s the case / board . That looks brilliant
Thank you
i built it, sourcing parts from Thomann and Aliexpress.
The case Is made of cheap 12mm plywood from the diy store
a lot of sanding (sadly not enough), one coat of sealer and two coats of black paint.
i glued some fabric on the inner sides.

"So what would you like to do with your custom configured BITE bass?"
Change the shape of that absolute munter of a headstock for starters.
This brand name is not very popular in France, nor in Belgium.... no one wants to have "bite" written on a headstock... ok, well, maybe a punk rock bassist 🙂

Will just put this on your radar as an alternative. Will not give you the option to try one out of course, but do some research on the brand instrument quality & there are very few complaints. Bonus are the configuration options obviously.

custom order => no option for return... or be prepared for an "interesting" conversation...

My personal experience: I bought a new mim fender P player and it’s a really nice instrument. Maybe I was lucky but it’s a good one. Maple fretboard, ocean turquoise with tort pick guard.
The pickup is well balanced and louder than my Custom Shop PJ and sounds less vintage but still a P character .
I bought it online, the return policies are really on the customer side, so you risk nothing if you don’t like what you get.but if you have the budget for a G&L, then go for it 🙂

Tom is a great guy to deal with. Clear communication, pedal as described, very happy. Thank you.

Spare cables (same length)
spare amp with Di (Warwick gnome)
spare bass
spare set of strings
tools for a bass setup and string change (hex keys, …)
maybe too much but I don’t want to spoil a good moment.

Other option : keep the three holes system and drill the neck… install the neck, and use the body holes as pilot holes to see where the new holes should be drilled in the neck.
three screws are enough…- 3

Next rehearsal: let them listen to a few songs without bass
they are easily found on YouTube (keywords : name of the song + bass backing track, …)if they like the songs: then they are deaf. Or worse : they have no groove…in either case : quit 🙂

Bluetooth on an amp (or any other supposedly "professional" piece of musical equipment) is a really bad idea mainly because so far the security on these products has been pretty much zero.
Imagine somebody in the audience Bluejacking your set up and then messing about with the settings or streaming some music from their phone through the amp because they didn't like your band?
Sure, that’s why my post was really clear : “for the intended use” and my use is : home practice…
-
It really depends on the intended use. for example, I have bought recently a Yamaha THR 30 wireless for home practice and for the holidays.
It’s packed with a lot of geek functions but I like it a lot. I don’t know if I would need these options for a “real” amp (rehearsal and gig) but it’s a well thought concept for the planned use of this practice amp :
- Bluetooth for smartphone backing track- Bluetooth for hidden options setup
- 5 users settings (memory)
- aux in input
- battery
- compatible with line6 relay G10
- light
- handle on top
- tuner
- line out stereo but no Di
- usb out

Update : I bouth this Gator Case and It's really nice. : https://www.thomann.de/intl/gator_g_pg_e_guitar_bag.htm
It's well made and the padding is thick.
BEtter design than my Ritter RGS7 bass gigbag : more room to store cables, documents, equipment...

Thank you for the info about the two strap buttons. food for thought 🙂
The mono is indeed really nice. Expensive but as you say, my S2 is my most expensive bass even if I bought it used (but nearly new)
To be continued…

Nice. I hadn’t check.
But buying from UK is now too expensive due to the different extra costs.
