  1. Thanks for the welcome Teebs! "Compensating" obviously writes it's own punchline but my biggest musical influences aren't Bass (Although my favourite Bassist is Hugh Hopper) as they are include MGMT and Manic Street Preachers, specifically the way their lead guitarist can carry entire songs on just an acoustic. I am clearly carrying shitloads on those four strings and yet I can't hear it any other way. Got a certificate course starting next week so that should bring in money. I'm going to have to get a mic next. Goes without saying if I was doing either on separate channels I could have played or sang a little better. The "endgame" is to at least get the song known as back of hand to not have to rely on notes. But yeah, what could go with this? It's more or less self contained as it is?
  2. Joined the forum while waiting for LA Bass (silver flake finish) to be delivered and it came the next day after posting my introduction! Have since spent time "perfecting" as best possible a live playing a song I done wrote. It uses five different basslines but due to Tablet recording and my... Technique, some notes might be lost. Advice welcome. Ripping expected. It's just been me in a room playing it. It will continue to be me in a room playing it. (Although if the song is like this now, imagine months if jamming along to it would do for live aims in 2020?) I have written more "songs" but not like this. Naturally if I could send this back to 1993 etc! Thank you very much for watching, thank you as well Admins for the forum space to allow this. Thank you.
  3. New guitar delivered today I look forward to adjusting playing style after years of acoustic bass! (New here, could be wrong thread, but the Bass is lying on what I write and play on so sort of on topic!)

    Hello!

Thanks for the welcome! And I expected my bass next Monday. It arrived THIS MORNING!!!
  5. I can't remember exact date. Could very likely be 1992. I was jamming with someone and inspired by pictures saw in magazines (Wow! Do you remember you used to buy them?) I decided to play Bass but using the six string strat copy I had. The jammer wasn't having any of this and over the weekend, traded in for a Marlin by Hohner red white scratchplate. Really loved playing it. Of course 2001 and lending it to another jamming friend who got it stolen off by his secret heroin flatmate. But that's probably for another thread. I also love seeing lone instruments sold in shops. If they have an electrics tester behind the staff door, then it's more likely they might sell electric items. In the UK with things getting cut, a lot of testers aren't sticking around so it's safer acoustics (safer in reducing liability).

    Hello!

Making this thread after joint this forum at whatever time this is HELLO! My name is Aaron. You want "Az", yeah ok. I'm an expectant player as I ordered a Silver Flake and it's going to drop next week. Then I can upload stuff and you can rip it to shreds and drive me off the forum with pitchforks for my crimes against musicanity. Will chat later in the day, hope you are sleeping softly. Hope I can contribute to the place. Thanks for having me!
