1.
Thanks Mike i have replied.
Email or PM? I don't see anything...
 2.
Hi Mike maybe send me some photos, where you based ?
You have a PM...
 3. One of my absolute favorite ACGs! Wish it weren't so expensive to ship to the US, and that I had 950UKP to spare!
 4. It does look great! There are actually completed photos over at http://basschat.co.uk/topic/9623-acg-build-progress/page__st__1320__p__1528232#entry1528232 Mike
Looks good! Great woods. Curious about how it will look when finished
5. I'm not quite sure why the BassXX is described as a "filter-based" preamp in their description--I don't see any indication that it's any different from any other typical 3-band set up with sweepable-frequency mid control like the EMG or the East. The ACG, and other filter-based preamps like Wal and Alembic, are a whole different ball or wax. I've owned both Wal and ACG and played the Alembics, and you really have to approach the EQ very differently.
 6. Starting to look like a (completely amazing) bass!
 7. I really like the Salace shape. Seeing the headed version with the extra curve in the tail, it does remind me a bit of one of JP Basses designs, but I can't say that's a bad thing--JP made some beautiful instruments.
Shape for the headed Salace.
8. So now we want the full in-hand review! Does it sound as massive as it looks like it should sound?
 9.
If it sounds half as good as it looks, I can't EVER see you putting it down.
...unless you have to pick up another ACG, of course!
 10. Dead sexy! I wasn't sure what I'd think about that very "woody" fretboard with the black finish, but they go together great! Can't wait to hear the in-hand review.
 11. Scoop, I generally agree about gold hardware, but the Hipshot stuff (tuners, at least) actually has a nice satin finish which looks much less cheap. Black will look outstanding, though.
 12.
Wow, I've gone for 16.5mm on my new 6er with a 52mm nut - I've found that smaller dimensions make things easier for a stocky little Scotsman like myself! You must be a big lad!
Not at all--5'8" or so. Just not a lot of finesse in my playing, so I need lots of room to flail about... But back to Scoop's lovely lady in waiting. Is she going to have gold hardware for a bit of bling? (Normally I'm not much on gold hardware, but with these woods it might actually look nice...)
 13.
Wide-*ss? What the hell spacing you going for?..
20mm string spacing at the bridge, with a 50mm nut, same as my Curbows. Rightly or wrongly, that's just the size that feels like a "real" bass to me! (in honor of "Talk Like a Pirate Day").
