Your question is good, I think it's more a personal preference and taste than a question of genre or style. If I have to record a bass line for a track, I used to make it with a JB and this Modern as well, and the customer/engineer/producer decide which sound would be preferred. The new German built series have Just-A-Nut system, which is not fixed, can be adjusted height, and when strings are off it could be taken off.

Lovely piece, never saw this earlier... I have a similar hollowbody bass called Frudua Realbass, 5 str version. Love this kinda sound of "semi bass guit, semi double bass"...

This is a dream bass, we know, out of range for most of us but definitely have its main market, overseas... it would be gone quickly there..

I think they'd used Seymour design at that time - but not sure either. Nordstrand came later If I remember well. Mr. Sadowsky's interviews on YT may help.
