  2. Hahaha! Yeah the multiscale fan fret system is amazing though, like wow the strings just feel amazing... unless its a rickenbacker then it always feels amazing
  3. Its actually the B string its in the process of getting new strings as these were dead
  4. Couldn’t find this thread, so mine got merged but thats good cause now I know how to find it haha! Here are my Black Basses/Guitars
  5. Hey guys, thought I’d pass on this page that have been doing photoshop renders for me. They do great work. Find them on instagram @bassguitarhub
  6. Thats actually more like it good job sir. Now make it look like my Alpher
  7. Think again. Rick-o-sound. Stereo cable. Two amps.
  8. That is gross... you should be ashamed 😂 that is not at all what I meant keep the Alpher exactly the way it is. But put rickenbacker pickups on it with a ric bridge. Done.
  9. I have played a normal guitar with a splitter and a drop pedal and played through two rigs before. Splitting the signal is just as good. And you can EQ certain things. The ric-o-sound is definitely a luxury. And not sure how applicable it will be on my live set up. But who knows some day it might be useful. Excited to hear this new project of yours though and all the best in your home.

  11. Sorry for my absence folks. Grandfather passing away etc. I have ‘t had a chance to take a photo looking down the neck yeah. Just to make people aware who are interested in owning this vox bass. I am getting offers over private messaging. I will be willing to sell it to whoever will restore it back to a playing/working bass. But offers on the price are important too. Thank you all for your interest.
  12. I’ll get a photo tomorrow looking down the neck
  13. All very good points and comments. And thank you for the links. i guess I never really expected it to be worth anything in terms of money. I have 4 options. 1. Sell it but not get much for it and hope that somebody gets use out of it after getting it repaired 2. Get it repaired and maybe be able to sell it for slightly more than if it wasn’t repaired 3. Get it repaired and use it as a playable instrument 4. Make it look presentable and hang it on the wall as “art”
  14. @Christine @KiOgon its not going to get repaired where I am, or at least not done well. (Highlands Scotland). Part of me wants to keep it (if it was playable because then I’d actually use it) but if I can’t get it repaired I’d rather sell it to someone who will give it life. What you guys thinking?
  15. I actually received this bass without any strings on it. And the neck was twisted to begin with. The strings are detuned to not give tension. @KiOgon thats cool that you worked for Vox, you know more about this bass than I do then 😛 whats its story? Is it worth repairing?
  16. Just is this repairable? Would also consider selling. But would need to post on basses for sale. Pm me if anyone would be interested in repairing for me/buying as a project. Twisted neck none working electronics pickup selector knob come off (stored somewhere) neck very bowed in the way pickup screws missing
  17. I have actually been looking for one of these exact basses. Are you open to trading? I have a brand new Dingwall D-bird, bought this year. Never gigged and hardly played. I also have a Warwick Ltd edition 2005 hot rod I’m also trying to shift. let me know if any of these interest you.
  18. This will be removed on friday. So this week is the last chance for folk to offer on this.

Lovely stuff dude, but I don't suppose there's any chance of hearing a less effected tone, I'd really appreciate it.
It's great to hear the bass, and as awesome as it is, I would love hear it without that baked in DarkGlass OD tone, almost all Dingwall demos these days have the same sound :(

Good to see your hair recovered too ;)

@eude, the reason I have effect on is because I use effect in that song, it sounds lovely on my alpher but I know exactly what you mean with the “dingwall NG sound” it always has a darkglass effect on it xD but I gaurentee it sounds the same just without the fuzz ;) i’ll upload a sample later

I checked out your band's Instagram, some really cool tunes and I have to say, the Alpher does sound better 😎

@Teebs  I wouldn't say sejant for the blue one, but rather salient. Heraldic can be tricky sometimes. 😁

After speaking to a very polite gentlemen Michael from Andertons, they informed me that someone had just put the wrong lable on the box. Or that when they were taking photos of the guitars, they put them back in the wrong boxes. In any case I have to wait probably another week :( but I’ve had a small bit of fun on the NG3 and I can tell you, its not for me. The sound is... but the looks and the 6 strings are not xD also... here is a video of my reaction taking it out the box...
