  1. Hi all We do appreciate your constructive feedback, and we have been working very hard to bring you the show you know and love, plus more! Hopefully this will set your minds at ease... For the 2018 show we had 9 bass acts on the two main stages, this year we have 8 bass acts - this is due to the venue needing to close an hour earlier on Sunday as they have fussy neighbours. So we have Ariane Cap, Nick Beggs, John Patitucci, Cody Wright, Scott Devine, Bassist of the Year finals (3 bassists performing), Lorenzo Feliciati (playing with guitarist Ciro Manna) and one band yet to be announced. We had 24 masterclass/workshop sessions last year and we have 26 this year. We had 67 brands in total last year at the show, and we currently have 67 booked, with 5 weeks to go so we're expecting more to come! Plus there will be live luthiery, vintage gear, Monty's guitar garage where you can have your bass worked on, oh... and some guitars to look at in case you're interested in those as well 😉 Not long to go now - we hope you enjoy it, and we will of course ask for your feedback after the show so that we can continue to improve it year after year. Best wishes The London Bass Guitar Show team
  2. You can use your ticket for Sunday instead if you want to - as long as it hasn't been scanned on Saturday we will accept it for Sunday (and vice versa)!
  3. Your John Patitucci ticket gets you in to his Auditorium performance on Saturday, exact time TBC!
  4. Hi all John Patitucci will do a performance and a masterclass on the Saturday (masterclass location TBC). If you want to see what day each artist is appearing, navigate to the stage they are on on the website: https://www.ukguitarshow.com/2019-programme/performances/auditorium https://www.ukguitarshow.com/2019-programme/performances/the-a-stage These are the two performance stages. There are also three workshop/masterclass rooms (MusicRadar Masterclass which is a mix of guitar and bass, Bass Guitar Workshop just for bass and Guitar Techniques Workshop just for guitar), as well as other features which will have their own rooms or areas on the show floor. Exact timings are being confirmed, and will be released a little closer to the show. Hope that helps! The LBGS Team
  5. Hi MoJo, you can check out who's exhibiting here: https://www.ukguitarshow.com/exhibitors Click 'filter' and choose London Bass Guitar Show. Major brands exhibiting include Charvel, Ernie Ball, ESP, Fender, Framus, Warwick, Gretsch, Ibanez, Music Man, PRS in terms of basses - many more if you're interested in amps, accessories etc as well! Hope that helps.
  6. Hi all Please rest assured that we will be offering the same great artists and content as usual. We have had a few hold ups with artist contracts being a bit slow to come back to us which is out of our control - we do apologise for the delay but we have some very juicy announcements coming your way very soon! We don't want to upset anyone or make you feel unloved - sometimes these things frustratingly take a bit longer than hoped, but we are working very hard to nail everything down for you. As always, we hope to see as many Basschatters at the show as possible!! From the LBGS Team
  7. Hi all, our marketing campaign starts at the end of May which is why we are still a little quiet! It's all happening behind the scenes, we promise As a heads up, we will be redirecting londonbassguitarshow.com to ukguitarshow.com, and using this site for both shows. This is to make it easier to find everything about the shows in one place. We trialled two separate websites for other co-located events we run (The Photography Show and The Video Show) and it just didn't work for a variety of reasons. The current exhibitor list is now live on ukguitarshow.com, and artists will be revealed throughout the campaign period as usual. We can't wait to show you what we have in store! The LBGS Team x
  8. We do everything we can to police the noise, but ultimately it's down to the exhibitors to keep it at a sensible level and not have 'noise wars'! A member of our ops team walks the floor with a decibel meter throughout show opening times to ensure that it stays at a safe level. We also hand out free ear plugs for anyone who needs them 😀 We have looked into soundproof booths, but unless a soundproofing company wants to exhibit and provide them for the show, it's just not within our budget to install them.
  9. We are still working out the finer details, but there are a number of rooms and a purpose-built auditorium at BDC as per Olympia, so there will be plenty of content on for both bassists and guitarists. We are going to aim to split the show floor into areas for bass, electric and acoustic exhibitors, but obviously there will be some crossover so it won't be a straight split.
  10. Yes indeed, your ticket will give you access to both shows!
  11. Hi all, the London Bass Guitar Show will indeed take place on 21 & 22 September at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London. We're really excited about the new venue which is convenient to get to and geared up to offer a better experience for visitors and exhibitors. Tickets will go on sale around May, in the meantime keep your eyes peeled for announcements! We value your thoughts and feedback Basschatters, so if you have any ideas for artists, features etc. you would like to see at the show or anything you would improve (please bear in mind that we can't control venue catering/parking etc), please email [email protected] 😀
  12. Hi all! We’ve moved the London Bass Guitar Show from its customary slot in March - but never fear, the event will remain the essential show of the year for bass players! Although co-located with the UK Guitar Show, it will remain as its own, bass-specific show. Expect the same world-renowned artists, features and educational areas – such as the super-popular Bass Workshop with Scott’s Bass Lessons – as normal, across a two-day schedule. When we know the exact date in September, you will be the first to know so that you can get it in the diary and make sure you don't miss out! Best wishes from The LBGS Team
