  1. Nope. I have a grand total of two straps. Both black.
  2. Ah the joys of gigging. I went to the bar last night. Had a couple of beers. Got home. Watched a bit of telly. Only thing I had to carry was my wallet. You've got to absolutely love the gigging thing to put up with it. I never did.
  3. I received an offer. It's a bargain now!
  4. The shotgun's fine. But I would have walked the minute I saw the flying V.
  5. Same. Being in a band for me is, and always has been about hanging around with my mates. But then again I suppose it depends on your level. If your a professional paid musician then it's just a job and you get on with it. For me music is a hobby. I can't imagine anything worse than it just being a job and playing with relative strangers.
  6. Rockin' in the Free World. I played it once in my old covers band then jacked in because I didn't want to be associated with a band that would play such utter shite.
  7. Oh God! I thought he'd been quiet for a while.
  8. Basschat is coming pretty close to being dead to me. Almost every thread turns into a pointless bitch fest which has little or nothing to do with the original post. It's all getting rather tedious.
  9. I knew who the poster of this thread was without looking, as soon as I read the title.
  10. Very true. But love them or loathe them, along with easyJet I've never found a cheaper way to travel, and probably wouldn't be living here in Bulgaria if it weren't for the many cheap trips I've taken with them.
  11. I haven't had Cadbury chocolate for years. They don't sell it here. My wife's just gone back to the UK for a couple of weeks and I've put in an order for her to bring back loads of Cadbury chocolate that I've been craving. Should I prepare to be disappointed? ☹️
  12. The guitarist in my band has a couple of these and they sound great. The tuners are green to replicate the original Gibson Les Paul tuners. I had the same on a Vintage brand Les Paul and didn't like them either. They just looked really cheap and tacky plastic to me.
  13. I was going to apply for this but there's no way I'm crossing the great chemtrail belt of north Devon.
  14. Vodafone - Exactly the same reason. For a long time in my life I never checked my back statements. When I finally did I saw a monthly £10 charge from Vodafone. I hadn't even had a Vodafone contract for over 3 years. When I disputed the charge with Vodafone they said I had signed up to an extended warranty. I knew this was a lie because it's something I never have, and would never do for any product. So I asked them to produce the contract as proof. A couple of weeks later I received a cheque for just under £500. It was a nice little savings scheme I didn't even know I was in. But it makes me wonder how many other people have been ripped off without realising it.
  15. Technically my highschool band from 35 years ago never broke up. We just discovered girls and forgot we were in a band.
  16. I've only heard good things about Jet guitars. Certainly one to watch to give Harley Benton a run for their money.
  17. I teach English online via webcam and my office is my studio with all my instruments in the background. I constantly get asked by my students about music and often tell them all about my band. We haven't played together in almost a year but according to the old YouTube channel we're now very popular in China. 😆
  18. Somebody should probably let the harp players know they're wasting their time.
  19. Wow that's a coincidence. My band has never appeared on LWT either. What a bitch!
  20. "Rock music is an abomination to God" That's ok. He's not the target audience. 😆
  21. I'm currently battling with them to claim my mother's life insurance, and had the same problem 2 years ago when my Dad died. They are utter scumbags!
  22. Whetherspoons. Not because they're supposedly full of pond life. I never found that to be the case. I used to work away from home, live in hotels all week, and at one time or another went to pretty much every Whetherspoons in Britain for a cheap and cheerful meal and a pint or two. But since the B word that shall not be mentioned I would never put another penny in Tim Martin's pocket. The man is an absolute bell end.
  23. Judging by that list it would appear that I'm American. Most of the stuff listed on the Brit side I can't stand. Especially the late 80's early 90's Manchester crap like Oasis, The Happy Mondays, Stone Roses etc. They were all rubbish (of course only my opinion) Whereas a lot of the band's mentioned stateside are amongst my favourite bands of all time. While most of my classmates were listening to Oasis I was listening to Alice Cooper.
