1. Bought an Ashdown Mini 48 cab from this nice chap. Neighbours came down to complain when I tried it out, he was very cool about it. Cab was as described and a good price and he was local. Would deal with Naill again.
2. Agreed! Anyone interested in the lefty Wal I saw, contact the Bass Cellar.

4. I went to London this week for a few days with the wife and decided to go for a trip to Charing Cross Road and Denmark Street. There must have been about 1000+ basses between all the shops, I counted 15 left handed basses. There was a lefty Wal in the Bass Cellar which was in poor condition, I didn't ask the price, and 2 Warwicks, Mexican Jazz, Precision and a couple of cheapies. In the other shops were the usual suspects, £200-£300 Chinese basses. I didn't bother going to the Bass Gallery as I think they only have 2 basses in stock that are left handed at the moment.
5.
Have you thought about Villex pups? Or what about Q Tuner? Cheers Steve
The reason I'm asking about these pups is because I'm thinking of putting the Villex into a MIJ Jazz Bass. Has anybody got any opinions about these going into the Sei bass?
6.
Bit of a colour sample
Nice. So what goes on next? Is it going to be a red tint to the lacquer to achive the purple? The fingerboard looks stunning. When Alan finishes this there won't be a dry eye in the house. I can't wait to see mine lacquered as the grain on the Amboyna will look amazing!
7. Have you thought about Villex pups? Or what about Q Tuner? Cheers Steve
8. Are you talking about people who write with their left hand and play with their right hand?
9. No no no and no again. Are you left or right handed when you drive a car? I am talking about players who play left handed basses.
10. I stick my tongue out so I've been told. Sorry didn't mean to upset anyone.
11. +1 on Lol. Check which bands/artists are playing near on the day? Looking forward to this my first bash. I'd like to see Tom Jenkinson AKA Squarepusher.
12. I bet his mommy is so proud of him, maybe thats why she bought him the Alembic. Now if only the $50,000 she paid to his shrink could get rid of those facial ticks.
13.
Guilty as charged.
Hi mxm, don't tell me that bass in your avatar is a certain 1963 Jazz from Vintage and Rare, and if it is it's not yours......is it?
14.
There was this thread not long back. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...;hl=left+handed
Cheers beerdragon, I remember it but it had posts by left handed people who play right handed, I'd like to hear from players who play lefty basses. Anyway what was your first left handed bass? (not yours beerdragon) Mine was an Ibanez Blazer Precision type, natural with a maple neck. I paid £99 for it from a shop in Birkenhead called Fushion Music. The guy let me try it through a Trace rig, as they were one of only a handful of dealers who had a franchise back in 1985. It sounded great and I couldn't wait to get it home to play it through my stereo, it didn't take long to blow the speakers. I wish i still had it.
15. A big hello to all Basschat Lefties. After speaking to Bigash and Lefty 68 we thought it would be a good idea to see how many of us there are in the membership, seeing as there are almost 1000! members there should be more than just 3! So if you're out there get in touch. Chees Steve. Sorry I forgot Qfunk
16. I know our woods will be different, I meant to say similar but in reverse and I'm cancelling my order with Alan seeing as he's gone and told you what he's building next for me So it will have to be Harlot S Type instead. BTW it's going to have super light gague strings on it so I can play it just by the power of thought.
17. Bloody hell, I didn't realise we had 950+ members! Ash is #949. That means there could be 100 of us destined to roam the earth looking for lefty basses to GAS over, Nooooooooooooooooooooo!
18. Hi Lefty 68, Hi Ash. Ilove both your Warwick, Lefty and your Shuker, Ash. We should see how many of us there are first. If it's 10% of the population then to my reckoning that should mean there's about 75-80 of us. Somehow I don't think so. Anyway science has proved that we are more intelligent and much better looking than Northpaws.
19. Fantastic! Your neck woods are like mine but in reverse. How many emails? I thought mine were excessive. I think ours are off to the spray booth next. Have you seen who's ordered one of Alans jazzes? Mine not even finished but I know what I want Alan to build next for me, can you guess children?
20. Oh no. You spend ages looking for a lefty fretless then when the moths in your pocket have got lint in their pockets.....
21. Anybody played the Wheatsheaf in Stoke or T.J.s in Newport the stages are about 6ft high and made of cardboard. Sounds like playing inside a duvet but out front the sound great!
22.
Hi Hooky, I'm using the ABMC115 575W MK1 with a ABM Mini 48 on top. They are the same depth but the 48 is about 130mm smaller width ways, sounds absolutely fantastic and is as solid as a rock.
Hi Hooky, BTW you'll be the first to know if I decide to sell the above, that's if you are still interested in any of it. It's a bit heavy you know. Cheers Steve.
