  1. Just got a lovely Spector from Paul. We both had to drive through a snow storm on the M62 to meet up, but we made it and the Spector is lovely. Good communication throughout and a brilliant chap; it was a pleasure finally meeting you and having a chat on a rather chilly night in Brighouse. Thank you Paul and hopefully you got back home ok. One very happy South Yorkshire lad! (me that is, Paul was a bit sad to see her go, but she will be well looked after and played...a lot!) Thank you again Paul, and hope the ACG works for you Kind regards, Andy
  2. Just bought a phaser pedal from Dave. Excellent communication and the pedal arrived well packaged and as new; Top chap, can't recommend highly enough. Thank you Dave, All the best, Andy
  3. Just bought a Stingray from Gareth; what a lovely instrument and very well cared for. Had a couple of conversations on the phone and it was a pleasure doing business with you. Thank you again, all the best, Regards, Andy
  4. Just bought a Squire 51 style P bass from Aidan, had a few conversations with him on the phone and cannot recommend him highly enough for anyone to do business with. A lovely chap and very knowlegable. It has been a pleasure doing business with him, and the bass was sent via a courier and was very well packaged both in the case and the outer packaging and arrived in South Yorkshire absolutely fine. The bass is beautiful and a credit to Aidan for looking after it so well; Thank you again Aidan. All the best, Andy
  5. Hi EBS, Thank you for the above; we will be trying the UI again in the next few weeks, as like you say, a stereo mix is better than mono. I'm fairly sure that the distribution unit is as you suggest above, but I'm going to spend some time going through it all and your advice is much appreciated; thank you again. Will let you know how things pan out. All the best, Andy
  6. Hi EBS, Thank you for your reply; don't worry about the time scale; I'm self employed and my time in front of a pc or laptop is very limited! We're only playing pubs battling with 2 guitars, keys and the loudest drummer in the world, so in ears are the only way forward for us! Anyway, at present we're using an A&H 12 Ch non digital desk, but the guys got a cheap unit to distribute the mix to a number of earpieces (sorry, can't remember what make it is, but can find out as it's down at work), however, it was the limiter that you mentioned a while ago that got me thinking and hence the message asking for your advice, which is very much appreciated. We got a Soundcraft Ui 16 last year but shelved it due to it letting us down with connection problems on a couple of gigs, so it's collecting dust at the mo. One thought was to use this purely as a monitor controller and have the A&H as the main mixer - technology isn't my forte, even though one of the guitarists has a 2nd band and they use the 24 ch version of the Ui without any issues... Looking forward to going down to 64 Audio and trying some UEs' out after speaking to Paul last week; it was a toss up between Shure and custom, but custom it is! Thanks again EBS, All the best, Andy
  7. Hi Guys, I'm fairly new to this forum, but have read with interest the debate regarding in ear monitors. I'm looking at going to try the UE 5/6 in a couple of weeks and would like a bit of advice from EBS Freak regarding the limiter mentioned a while ago to protect our ears from cable pops etc; is there a limiter that you could recommend please? Many thanks, Regards, Andy
  8. Hi BK man, Is your ESP still for sale and where in the country are you? Many thanks, Andy
  9. HI Guys, Not sure if this thread is still open, and I've only just joined but I've had one similar to the one mentioned above for over 25 years, although it's too nice to gig regularly. If you want any info, although mine is not for sale, just let me know. I'm having problems trying to find something with a 43-45mm nut width neck to fit my large hands and have been after another ESP 400 p style for a couple of years, so if you know of anything out there without spending a fortune, an email would be appreciated as most of the new Fenders/Squires seem to have 40mm jazz type necks... Anyway hello to you all and hope I can help with your enquiry, even though the Horizon mentioned above has just doubled in price when I had a look last week... All the best, Regards, Andy
  10. Good morning Handwired, I've only just joined this site and wondered if your ESP is still for sale? I've been using a old ESP 400 p bass for the last 20+ years and am having trouble finding a replacement with a wide neck to fit my shovel sized hands, but the specs on the Vintage 4 seem similar. Many thanks, Regards, Andy
