  1. Hi All, I've moved to 5 strings, so this beauty gets very little use at all, and needs a new home. These start at £2995, so why not avoid the wait for a new one, and save £1600 smackers on the price of a new one. This also comes with a case, so its even more of a saving, what's not to like. I've been asked why the headstock appears to be a different colour to the rest of the neck. At first I thought it was my photography skills, but its actually where the folks at OW HQ have made the scarf joint for the angled headstock. I've added a couple of new photos to provide a better view. I'm looking to get a Dingwall standard 5/3 D-ROC with the proceeds of the sale, so if you fancy a swap drop me a line, otherwise cash is king. It's based on the Scott Devine Signature Progress IV (Link to Overwater), the major difference is the location of the pickups, mine are 'normal' Scale 33 inch Weight 4.25kg String spacing 16.5 m 24 Frets Rosewood Fret board Nut 40m Body - Medium Weight Swamp Ash/Walnut face EQ - OW 3 band Pickup - OW 4 SB Satin finish with matching headstock. Hiscox Overwater Case Happy to post in the UK and happy to drive for an hour for a sale/trade. PM me with any questions. Cheers, Neil.
  2. Only the Fuzzistor left now, something to spend spare Christmas cash on.

  4. I liked the look of this at £399, and when it got to £300, I almost pulled the trigger, and now it's £275. Currently sitting on my hands. Glwts.
  5. Hi All, Last week I wanted to keep it, the week before to sell it........however I have definitely made up my mind to sell. I got this from the Bass Gallery in August, and its been used a hand full of times, no dings/dents or marks, so why not treat yourself to an early xmas present. Here the Aguilar Link Happy to post within the UK for an additional £5 (Sorry EU chums), or can be collected from East Ruston/Norwich. (I have the original box) Any questions just shout.
  6. Hi All, Octamizer is sold pending the usual. PM me if you are interested in any of the other pedals.
  7. Hi All, Up for sale is my last Aguilar pedal. 😞 Fuzzistor - Click on the link for an example of what it can do. I’m looking for £100, postage will be £5 extra. I don't have the original box, but it will be adequately boxed/wrapped. Apologies to our EU chums, but I will only ship to the UK. The boiler needs replacing so I have told the boss that this will be a sale only **Said with a straight face** Cheers
  8. Yep the OW is very nice to play, but its very brown to look at.
  9. No, not ibanezzzzz One is black Warwick corvette short scale, the other is a overwater progress, with a 33 scale, and 17mm spacing. I suspect I may send the overwater away to be painted a nice bright colour.
  10. Never played a 5 string, and never played a 35 inch. I've been complaining my current basses are dull, this on the other hand makes me want to play. Desparetly trying to think of reasons not to buy this. Best I've come up with is that it's not passive.
  11. I'm glad its not just me then! I play for fun, no band, no gigs, just something to keep the old grey matter ticking over at my time of life. Don't get me wrong, there's definitely a large dose of, is the grass greener, but more often than not there turns out to be no grass, rather than greener grass. But its not about the bling as such, just good looks that make me want to pick it up and play. For example, Mr Travis of this parish has a very nice orange BB (he won't sell, I've tried) which I would rather have over some high end boutique instruments. There are clearly times when function trumps form, I'm not interested a good looking nail or hammer. However, a sack would keep me warm, but I wouldn't wear it to an interview or a first date, because I want something that makes me feel good, and thats the same when picking up my bass, I want it to make me feel good.
  12. I have two bass guitars, one plays very nice and has a great sound, the other kind of does the job. (names of manufacturers withheld to avoid upset 😉 ) The trouble is they are both soooo dull to look at, that I can't be bothered to pick them up, they just don't inspire me at all. I think a bass should make you want to play it all the time, and when you do stop playing, you want to pick it up again. Anyone else suffer from 'dish washer' basses that do the job well, but are ultimately forgettable?
  13. To quote MB1 when he missed out on one of my sales......"BUGGER" Condolences to the MB1 family.
  14. Hi All, Continuing my transition to a Aguilar fanboy, this little beauty is up for sale (or trade for an Aguilar Agro pedal), its in great condition and a great pedal. This provides a good overview. Please note, I don't have the original box. Happy to post to the UK (Sorry European Chums) for £5, or you're are welcome to collect.
  15. Wow what a looker, if I had the cash I would be on my way to Yarmouth now.
  16. This used to be mine, definitely a case of sellers regret. Someone is going to pick up a cracking bass.
  17. Hi, Has anyone tried one of the new Tech 21 bass fly rig, any thoughts on it. I've used the original, but like the idea of having the choice of Sansamp or VT settings, and a dedicated effects loop. Cant help but compare fly rig to the Bass Simplifier and the Atomic bass box. Cheers
  18. I've been playing the bass for about 3 years now, and have spent enough to fund an uprising in some small south American country, and lost enough in selling them to fund a south African uprising in Malawi. If I was starting again, I would keep the bass (Ibanez SR500) and the cheap amp (Fender Rumble 15) that the wife and kids got me as my first bass. The trouble was I always thought the next bass was going to be the best, the most comfy and easiest to play. Occasionally that was true, but mostly wasn't.

  20. Hi, I advertised this earlier in the year, but clearly got the price point wrong, so time for a reduction. I had a go at the home recording thing, but didn't get on with it, so time to clear the decks (no pun intended) Once again these are in good condition and come with the original power supply (I don't have the original box). The eagle eyed will notice that they are not the same height, that's because I have shown 1 with the stand down, and the other with stand up.
