  1. I'm thinking a purchasing a Fender Rumble Stage 800 but as it is a modeling amp with lots of built-in effects, presets etc would this colour the output of my Helix Stomp too much or is there some kind of neutral preset on the Fender?

  2. Just sold an item on Ebay to a guy with an address in the UK but i then received a message from the buyer saying he wanted the item posted to an address in Austria, apart from the difference in postage costs is this some kind of scam?

  3. Just musing to myself about my wireless set up. Currently Xvive transmitter into bass, receiver into HX Stomp, guitar lead into Amp, works fine. Would another Xvive (on different frequency) work connected from my HX Stomp to my amp?

I did exactly this last weekend. I used an Alto TS312 as foldback (same spec as the Headrush 112) with the HX Stomp straight into the desk. Worked a treat.

Hey Noir, Further to your answer I also perform backing vocals, could I use the Alto/Headrush as a vocal foldback at the same time as using it as a bass monitor?

Congrats on the new acquisition and joining the expanding BC Stomp club! When's yours due or have you got your hands on it already?

Ordered online, yesterday, now wringing my hands waiting for the postie!

  6. Just pulled the trigger on one of these babies. It's got me thinking about a whole new way of setting up for a gig. Would it be feasible to plug the HX Stomp into a powered bass speaker, something like a Headrush FRFR-108, then from the Headrush into FOH?

  7. Thinking of ditching my current rig (Trace Elliot GP7 SM300 plus double 2x10 cabs) in favour of a lightweight but powerful combo, mainly due to purchasing a smaller car and having loads less boot space. Is there any love out there for the Fender Rumble stage 800, seems a lot of amp for the money?

  8. Am I a musician? I don’t read music but I know my way round the neck, I play in two gigging bands but also work full time, does this mean I am a part time musician? When footballers work and are also paid to play they are described as semi-pro? How do you describe your status?

Not sure if it counts as ridiculous, but the one that always made me annoyed was when i was playing guitar in an old school punk covers band we quite frequently got asked "it's my mate's birthday, can you play Happy Birthday?"

Is it by the Sex Pistols?

Beyond that we never got any inappropriate songs, it was usually "do you know *some obscure song* by *some obscure punk band*?"  Er, no.

We used to get this so often in my punk covers band that we learned a speeded up punk version of happy birthday to please the punters

  10. Used my Elf for the first time last weekend. Playing in a big room through two 2x10 cabs so getting the full 200 watts. Competing with a drummer, keys and two guitarists and it was easily loud enough and still has some headroom.

  11. Thanks for the advice guys, It's only been three weeks and the retailer was pulling his hair out trying to get the repair done and to their credit the have offered to loan me an amp, I'll just leave it a bit longer, I still have my old trusty Trace Elliot head to use.

  12. After some advice guys. My Hartke TX600 head failed after six months so it was returned back to the retailer for repair. As of today the amp is still sitting at the retailers waiting for the "official" Hartke repair company to pick it up. Is there a maximum time that they can keep my amp before having to replace or refund?
