  1. Just came across this and was very surprised and saddened to hear of your experience with us. Was it me personally you were dealing with? I can't recall this exchange you're referring to, although that doesn't mean it didn't happen. I do try to help all my customers with any questions or service needs they may have with our products in a very timely manner. In the case of your 6" midrange driver, there have been other customers with the same question or curiosity as to whether or not it was working due to the fact that the high frequency content of a bass guitar is very low in output relative to the lower frequencies. My response for testing this was to play full- range, pre-recorded music thru the speaker to see if the output was consistent with the recording. In all cases, it eliminated any concerns the customer had regarding the 6" driver. I do take great pride in our customer support and service, and expect no less from our dealers. This, of course, doesn't excuse any poor communication on my part, and I am very sorry if it was me personally you were corresponding with. Best Regards, Jim Bergantino

[/quote] Thank you everyone for the kind words. It's very much appreciated. As it pertains to customer service, we will also be handling that directly as well. In many ways, most customer service issues eventually make their way back to us anyway. This just makes the process that much quicker. Of course, the goal is to never need customer service in the first place! ;-}
  3. I just wanted to chime in on this topic to help eliminate any confusion. The short answer is yes, we are now selling factory direct into the UK marketplace. Mark at Bass Direct has been a great dealer for us over the years and a personal friend. Unfortunately, as has been mentioned in this thread, economic conditions, especially due to the dollar exchange, have changed quite dramatically over the last year or so, which doesn't present US based companies with a very competitive landscape to do business in. The two options for us was do nothing, which means no business, or offering our products direct to consumers to help make them more competitive for UK based players.
