  1. I'm asking myself he same question haha. Very close to parting it out!
  2. This is excess to my needs it comes loaded with a pair of Faital 15PR400 and sounds absolutely massive whilst still being an easy single person lift. Has tilt back castors to make easier to move around. Had light marks from amp feet on top which should clean up with some elbow grease. Made originally by tricky audio comes with a soft cover! Price drop to 500 as I need the space! Collection only from Sheffield
  3. Indeed, theres only so many ways you can wind a pick up really.
  4. Tone is very subjective, it's hard to say what you'd like without an idea of what you want to sound like. Seymour duncan pick ups are my go to usually though as they do a few different specs so you can usually find something you'll like

  7. They have a different sound, Also needing to retune going from hot to cold isn't any worse than wood. Basically it's just a different sound, no better or worse
  8. ooh, thanks for the heads up, what are the scale lengths on these? I wonder if it'll fit a fender body haha
  9. Does anyone know anyone in the UK who is currently making these? I'm getting bad gas for one and struggling to find people who aren't in the states

  11. basically make sure you plug it in the right load and make sure you have a speaker plugged in. Treat it care as well. Valves are more robust than people say they are haha.
  12. you want to see if there is dc on the pot. basically you don't need to put very much in but give it quite a few turns. if thats not working you can take the pot apart and clean the trsck. but usually at that point it's easier to replace the pot if its easy to find
  13. get a scope and signal generator if you want to save yourself and your ears more time haha
  14. best bet is to take your set up to a shop and try out as many heads as you can, don't be scared to try things that don't say bass on the front as well
  15. with all the power modern amps have it is a very good idea to have a hpf to filter subsonics
  16. pretty much any non super high gain will work as long as you don't use guitar speakers, unless you're after the high gain sound

  18. Well I'd be interested in buying it if you're thinking of selling it. If you're willing to wait and get it fully serviced etc. you'll get around 600 - 800 for it depending on how lucky you get
