  1. Clearing out my spares box and have this job lot of pickups. 2 sets of Tobias soap bar pickups (EMG 40 size with split bar magnets arranged like a typical P bass, recently removed from a pair of Tobias Toby Pro basses) and an 80s Jackson J pick up (untested but was working when removed from my Jackson bass)

Asking £50 for the lot, I don’t want to split them, I’m sure someone can make use of them. I’ll pay the postage myself as well.

Items are always posted “Royal Mail First Class signed for” or you are welcome to come and collect them yourself. Payment by bank transfer or cash on collection.

Please see my feedback page below

    *Sold*

  5. Hey guys & gals.

This is really just a quick one as I can't seem to find any info on the net that's helping.

Those of you who own a 70s Jazz Bass / a Geddy Lee Jazz Bass, would one of you be able to measure the distance from the 12th fret wire to the pole pieces on the neck and bridge pickups for me please?

I'm sticking some Jazz bass pickups in my bass that currently has EMG soapbars in it. Will be installing some J coils pickups in a soapbar casing as close to the 70s J bass placement as I can then epoxying them in the casing.

    Thanks

What - A 1996 Trace Elliot GP12SMX Stereo Bass Pre-amp. Why? - Can't bear to part with it and not heard anything that can do the same silky smooth dual band compressed sounds via its blendable tube input and 12-band EQ/pre-shape settings . There is other rack stuff but that changes from time to time, the GP12SMX Stereo is a permanent fixture. It's getting on a bit now like its owner but unlike me its still in perfect working condition🙃

As I said, the Admins are clear to remove my post if deemed necessary.  There is nothing libellous or slanderous posted here.

If there's any fear of libel, slander etc., just contact me and I'll pull my entire archive on this guy and make it publicly available for review by everyone here.  That will include pics of myself, Mason and his other half, all of which can be verified.

Nothing here is libellous, and the subject wouldn't have the balls to bring any case because... well, read my post.  He will never admit to the actual reason why he scams.  Not even to a solicitor.   He'll supply falsified letters/emails from supposed legal weight, but little else.

I'm not working for Rickenbacker, ffs. Just trying to put this crap to bed.

    Well said!

Fellas, @KarateKid and @ForbiddenWytch, I know that Colin spent several hours editing out potentially libellous posts. Could you save him the trouble of doing this again by doing it yourselves?

It's pretty clear to everybody who has read this thread that there are some strong feelings towards Mr Mason for his actions but we wouldn't want him to get the upper hand by making a lawsuit against the site owners for Libel/ defamation of character or slander.

There's absolutely nothing in my posts that are libellous or defamation of character, anything that's been said is already in the public domain with a quick google search of his name.

  9. The long and short of the whole situation is that Mr Mason is nothing more than pond scum, an absolute low life who tries to prey on other people to fuel his habits. Unfortunately, he managed to rip quite a few of us off but he didn't win and he will never win. His addictions and actions will be the end of him. The fact he walks around having to look over his shoulder every minute of his life shows how big trouble he is in. Some day soon, he will get his comeuppance and we'll be here to laugh at him then forget about him and his miserable existence once again.

Looks like Mason is attempting to wind up his company "UK Tribute Shows Ltd" and it's getting interesting for him.

He applied to strike off the company in June. Two weeks later, an objection was received (probably from someone to whom he owes money), so the strike-off was suspended.  This is where it gets even more interesting.

In July, the same day on which his partner and co-director of the company was either sacked or resigned as a Director, he also changed the registered address of his company from 1 Kensington Close in Glen Parva (the place they've failed to sell since last September) to another address altogether...

...which just happens to be an abandoned and derelict office building down the road from him in South Wigston. The attached photo was taken from Google maps this month. So, either he's lying to Companies House about his address to avoid any litigants from tracing him, or he's roughing it in a sleeping bag.

Under the Companies Act, "Knowingly or recklessly delivering information or making a statement to the Registrar of Companies that is misleading, false or deceptive is a criminal offence under section 1112 of the Companies Act and can lead to imprisonment and/or a fine."

The appropriate email address to report such activities is [email protected]

The following information is already in the public domain and readily available, so hope I'm not breaking any rules.... if I am, well [shrugs].

Interesting is that. How he isn't in jail by now is beyond me. Would call him a con artist but that would suggest he's good at it.
