Got it sorted, was a dry joint on the sire jack. 

Hey has any one done the above mod? I could do with some guidence in regard to the wiring from the jack .

Agreed, add in sales or goods act/warrantee in the UK the I think the BD price is about right. 

I imported some basses back when it was over two dollars to the pound. That was was some GAS fulfilled 😂

Courier cost, handling fee, vat and import duty and your looking at The RRP in the UK. Also not sure $799 would be + local sales tax.

I played 3 of these at NAMM. Brilliant instruments. Carey has made a great homage to the original bass. And as @Sibob said, they were really popular at NAMM.

And it looks like they won't supply them. Just noticed a refund on my card. No email explaining what's going on. 

I've heard bad reports about Bax before, won't bother with them again. 

Good condition, brought from a friend for a project that never happened. They came out of his Sadowsky NYC. Seems a shame to have them sat in a draw not being used.

Think it's a better instrument at the price point. It's obviously a different beast, but full of classic style tones.  That one is at the old price, I think the new custom order ones are more now. 

I've played that very bass. Was excellent. Could have easily brought it, NOT glad I didn't! 

I've tried one. It's great and deff does a thing (think that's the echoplex tone). On my gas list for sure. 

Brought Mike's Demeter. He was super easy to deal with. Had a great chat. A credit to the basschat community.

Forgot about this. Offers and trades with cash either way considered as really don't need it, shame to leave it not being used. 

Brought a Sire from Frank. Went out of his way to bring it up to me. The bass is awesome.  Lovely dude, one of the good guys.
