  1. That's a quick reply thank you, no one lost an eye though, but simply annoying
  2. Hello all. I had a nasty surprise over this Xmas break.I had bought a Kala ubass in September from a trusted UK supplier. I had a play on it, the day I bought it home, and all was fine, so I put her in its case, planning to use it for making music at home with some uke friends.I had detuned it a little before doing so. However, when I got it out a few days ago, my bass player friend and I had a quick tune up, and that's when the fun(not) started. Even before reaching it's tuned state, the Headstock decided to part company with the neck, although quite neatly at the nut. I've added pics below, and simply wonder if anyone on here has experienced anything similar. I have seen pics of a Harley Benton with the same fate, although they're in a lower price bracket. I have mailed the supplier and will hopefully get this resolved, although I'll say no to another Kala. Have a look at the pics please, but a luthier contact of mine, seems to think there is a weakness in the wood grain, and with it also being painted (and Chinese) could it have been an accident waiting to happen. Have a great new year everyone anyway.
  3. What's the weight of this bass please?
  4. 1x15, There are both a mark one and mark two combo and I think this is the mark two with the two toneprint channels
  5. This great amp is no longer being used, so I'm happy to move her on. Great sounding amp for it's size, includes two toneprint effects features, Full spec can be found on bass direct page, comes with cover and footswitch. The mute switch is missing it's cap al though still works fine, and I'm sure TC would send a new cap. Pick from Leicestershire or sensible motorway meetup. Thanks for looking
  6. I bought this bass late 2022, From bass direct.it was only used as a back up for a theatre show, but never actually played, She is of great quality, with minor belt rash plus a missing machine head cap which I'm sure Sandberg would supply. Enclosed are pics plus spec. Ideally pickup from Leicestershire or sensible motorway meet up. thanks.
  7. Thank you for that, I'll take some pics later, but it's a busy cavity pot wise
  8. I've just received some Aguilar pickups, and on the wiring diagram, it shows three wires coming from each one, White is main feed, then there is a black down going to the body of the blend pot, and then the grey wire going to the sheilding, it's humming like hell, my question is this, are shielding and earthing not the same thing when it comes to guitar wiring, I'd have thought yes, although a little confused, please send help
  9. Germoline 'secondskin' or 'new skin' is great, stings like hell when you apply it.
  10. I've just ordered a GR800 top instead. Hope your sale goes well though.

  14. Since doing a lot of song learning via youtube etc,i'm finding it both damaging and annoying especially via headphones.with volume dips and spikes between tracks and adverts. Are there any gadgets out there that could rectify this? I'm not sure whether a compressor would do the job.Its just as bad playing videos on my tv too,so i doubt if that could be rectified. Thanks for any ideas folks
  15. Well watching that vid has made me late for visiting my girlfriend, but sometimes we have to prioritise . Thanks for that
  16. Very strange question, but has anyone seen a pickup without its casing? Its a man thing but i'm very curious as to whats in there.Any pics would be even more welcome.Sorry but its a wet sunday afternoon and i'm bored. Thanks
  17. Thanks folks, very helpful answers, as for relying on your drummer to set the tempo,i don't think that theory has reached Leicestershire just yet!
