I do like the pictures of King Charles.  they add a certain 'authority' to you all....esp the drummer :)

Just reviving this one to ask if anyone uses their Noble with a valve amp, or would it not be beneficial, I already get the sound I want from my V4B but I’m quite impressed with all the videos I’ve watched on the noble

No I don't.  I have a Mesa D800+ where I put the Noble on the front end.  My alternate is a Handbox R 400 on its own, which is a bit less subtle.

Pull out the old enclosed jack socket and replace it for a quality regular open jack socket (stereo I believe, as I assume the bass for an active preamp).

Thanks.  I do want a functioning bass, but won't that impact the value of the bass to the obsessively 'is it original' brigade?

  5. I have a pre-EB Musicman which has developed a horrible shorting like noise when I plug it in with certain jack-leads.  I recall from another thread recently a basschatter talking about very slightly diffent sized jack plugs.  Looking at what seems to make a difference with mine, using old leads where the jack-head has been screwed tightly into the plastic retainer causes the jack to sit very slightly further out (and does not short).  Having taken the control unit off the Musicman, the whole jack socket assembly is an old sealed unit that I really don't want to muck about with.  Has anyone else experienced his and/or what advice would you have?

Is it a good price? I always thought that these were above an epic but not as renowned as the series or SC sigs.

With the proviso about the red flags, that looks a pretty good deal.  It's got a through body neck (unlike an Epic) and a book matched headstock and body.  Like Jazzyvee I would say it looks in good nick.  It might weigh a bit though and look out for neck dive (wide strap solves that one)

Great gig last night at the castle theatre in Wellingborough, first show with my new LFSys monza . Fantastic clarity and the fact that you can hear it very well from all sorts of different standing positions really is so refreshing. Very happy with it so far IMG_7705.thumb.jpeg.06ec41b0e2adba8c3ab6dbf34604d19c.jpeg

And a beautiful 5 string Wal to boot.  Do you chain it to the music stand?

It's made of plywood and sat in a loft for 50 years? I'd be surprised any of it was flat.

They probably didn't want to mention the domed front, sides (albeit they mentioned the broken neck, nack....d pick ups, replaced tone controls (before it went in the loft), refinished body, hybrid machineheads)....what's not to like!  And all worth how much?
