Bass meant to be arriving tomorrow, paid for premium delivery, not arriving until Tuesday. Disappointing, DPD (disappointing premium delivery).

Just typed ‘live environment’ in a thread but autocorrect decided it should be ‘love envelope’

Well pleased with the results from my recent recording session with my Tom Petty tribute https://www.facebook.com/heartfakersband/?hc_ref=ARRcWgx8vn_Kwfj-SPRAeZ7M_TrGAx5qVpTM6faIZWYKgSkoyj5RmceQawTn36EwhVA&fref=nf

In the last few days I've tried to buy 2 EUBs, both from a well known retailer. Both of the items, although on their website, were already sold. Who knew it would be so difficult to spend money?

Happy BC birthday to me. I’m 13 years old today. Cue grumpy teenager.

I see Fender are celebrating 75 years by reissuing all the usual suspects, again.

Yep: Rock/Fender/ Hard Place. It’s difficult for them, but they need to stick with a new design, it’ll be slow to begin with, but they’ll get there. I wonder what we’d be playing now if Leo & Co hadn’t ground it out in the early days (it couldn’t have been easy)? They should’ve tried harder with the Dimension bass, with some high profile ‘name player’ endorsements. I can only think of Yolanda Charles playing one.
-
Indeed. Leo's impact to musical instrument design has always fascinated me - he wasn't a player himself, yet I don't think any other individual has contributed so much. Both with things he designed directly, and the influence on others' designs.
The situation today kind of reminds of of the Ford statement "If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.”
We need a modern day Leo!

Looks like Guitar Guitar are having a bit of a Lakland clearout, https://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/clearance/lakland/guitars/bass/?Ordering=2

Tried the Gibson DC, s'alright, not the best set up or hardware; Gretsch budget version, awesome for the money; Fender Mustangs, really liked the JMJ signature, others OK but the body feels a bit small for my frame. The one I really want to try is the SWB-1 (@Chownybass rubs hand with glee 😁) but Anderton's won't have stock until the 20th according to their site . I've tried de-tuning one of mine 2 steps and putting a capo at the 2nd fret (pretty much 30" scale) and I am liking it. Now if I could just get a Mustang neck to fit my P type and get it intonate...

Happiness is: picking up your custom built basses after having played an off the shelf bass for a while and realising how right you got it.

E-C tuning, where have you been all this time? Loving it!

Don’t you just hate it when you receive shipping info, only to find that it’s scheduled for a day when you’re out ☹️.

Kudos to @thebassgallery for my recent commission sale through them. Easy, quick, no muss, no fuss. Also provided an excuse to go there and try to find my next purchase. Cheers guys.

Just rewired the footswitch on my EBS Unichorus as it was intermittent. Good as new. Result! Now, what can I buy with the money I’ve saved on a new chorus pedal?
