Hi everyone, first post and it's a sad one!
For sale is my beloved Warwick Thumb bolt-on 4 string bass guitar. I bought this Bass with my inheritance at 19 years old in 2001 and have loved her ever since. Purchased from electromusic in Doncaster, this very rare and collectible Bass has given me hours of fun, but it is time to part ways as my interests have changed.
This Bass is a 2000 limited edition and number 65 of 150. To make it extra special, the headstock has been signed by hanz peter wilfer, the founder of Warwick bass guitars himself. The main difference over standard is the 3 wood body instead of the standard wood, this was said to improve tone and aesthetics, in the flesh the Bass is a yellow brown from the back, and a wavy red brown from the front.
This Bass has been used (loved) and in turn has its character, it has a Thumb mark near the neck pick up, a few pick marks in the same area, and belt marks on the rear of the concave body. There is also slight wear on fret 2 and 3 but nothing that hinders its playing or tone.
This Bass is highly adjustable at the nut and bridge to make a truly individual setup. The tone of this Bass is insane, so much depth, the active circuitry with 2 band EQ helps this, this circuit is activated via a push pull volume knob.
None of the hardware is marked, the circuitry is perfect, it really is a piece of art.
I'm gutted to see it go, but my passions have changed, and this sadly has to go.
Thanks for looking,
