  1. You know that thing where you're drilling the neck heel for new fixing screwholes, and the drill bit breaks off in the hole?

    That. >:(

I had to dig it out (a right pain) then fill it, wait for it to dry, then re-drill and re-fit.

The biggest PITA was finding a matching screw!

  3. Well I was wanting to buy a used valve amp. However my girlfriend has sent me a pic of a ring she wants and must have now! To be fair she did say she would buy me an amp at the end of next month, if I get her the ring. But like her I also have no patience haha. I will get her the ring.

You'll find wearing the amp on your finger gets in the way of playing.

Sounds very similar to "you know that feeling when you are tightening up the last screw in the machine heads on a new build and the last one shears off level with the headstock. Yeah, that."

Yeah, it probably is my honest opinion. Though I'm not sure 😁

Of course, and I shall :)

I'm too opinionated for my own good really.

Thanks for the comments all - I'm not going, just having a rest.

I made the schoolboy error of blundering into Off Topic for some reason. I shan't be doing that again. I have to ask myself, why does that whole subforum exist on this site anyway? I see no need for it myself. YMMV IMHO of course

I just need a shortish break then I'll be back - posting in on topic areas only

That'll be similar to me with Funk - when I play it's "Gunk"

      Opposite of a pick guard...

Hmmmm. Could be the body itself. One that doesn't need a pick guard.

Or is it opposite colour? Apparently the opposite of pink is green.

So, either a rear-rout body or a green pick guard.

      What do I win?

Based on recent posts I'd say a pick guard.

Really confused @SpondonBassed - this is a bit like a Line6 product - you buy the head, get the software for free for making your own custom amp patches. You can transfer the patches from PC to the device via bluetooth or your network. You don't need a phone or a tablet.

There's a cloud based network that's free where you can upload or download ready made patches. So, you pay once and that's it - other than your domestic broadband. By your logic you should be saying "no thanks" to bass chat as you need a network subscription to access it ;)

Those rolled edges are exactly what you get on proper vintage - it's just part of the effect
