I was looking at these last year and they mostly seemed around the £1.5-2k mark. Some were asking £4K+ but couldn’t see any selling at that money. There aren’t many RD’s around so I think the prices are a lot more variable than more common stuff.

100% this ^^^^ Instant turn off if it comes on the radio or walk out if a band plays it. I genuinely hate it.

I'm afraid I don't understand the phrase "male grooming routine"
It means a gorilla scratching its ar5e then sniffing it’s finger

But does it play like butter?

I really like the Electro Harmonix 12AX7EH tube.
Use it in all my tube units.
The cheap Chinese ones that most cheaper tube units comes with from stock tends to sound thin, shrill and fizzy.
Same here, I have them in my 1000w Terror amp and they are spot on.

Just bought a TC head from David, fantastic comms throughout, well packed and sent quickly as promised. Perfect seller.

Played a club we didn’t realise was a front for the local Tories. Full on entitled tossers who were well pi55ed. Two threatened our lead singer at the break. Our encore that night was Billy Bragg’s which side are you on? We haven’t been back………..

Hi mate, do you still have this?

So many to choose from but this stands out for me:
It just fits the song perfectly. Just three different notes and five notes in each phrase.- 6

Hydro dipping may be an option worth looking at.

Best thing is to take your main bass once a year to someone you can trust who will give it a set up, check all parts etc. And won't do unnecessary work just because you've asked about it or because it gets them more cash.
Of course the more you play the same bass, the humidity, how you store it, etc. Means you may need it checking out more or less often.
I do my own set ups. It has never needed more than a tweak of the truss rod in ten years but I am careful how they are stored.

I must have played well over 2000 hours on my go to bass and I can’t see anything but minimal wear. Maybe I have a light touch, but can’t see them needing doing for years yet.

Stiff Little Fingers in Brum. They still have it and then some. ‘Kin brilliant night. Support was Slim Jim Phantom Trio with ex stray cats drummer, they were not the best, technically tight but no energy for nearly all the set. They did one upbeat number and everyone was up for it, then back to the dirge. Shame.

Boss gx100, over budget but well worth saving up for.

Poor manufacturing to get something so simple wrong, not your fault.

Boss GX100 has been an utter revelation for me this last year. I have now mothballed my pedal board and just use the GX100. So flexible and easy to use. Loads of the guitar pedals sound great on bass as you would expect, and there are bespoke bass effects as well. Chuck in the modelling options and it’s a bargain imho.

My favourite film of all time. Great music, great story, amazingly well filmed and utterly bonkers.

Do you make enough money to live on? Professional, if not, amateur. Some professionals are average players, some amateurs are amazing.

According to quite a few people none of this countries problems are due to brexit. None at all, not one, not even a minor inconvenience.
Maybe brexit could have been a success but due to being implemented by clowns, it's a car crash.
Brexit has been a massive success - for those who planned and orchestrated it, they have made billions and don’t give a damn about ordinary people.

If I could only have one tool it would be a powerfile, depending on grit size you can use it as a bulk wood remover (well bulk guitar wise - not like a chainsaw!) and finer grit will do much of the finishing.

This doesn't have an Xlr input for a mic, though, so could only be used as an insert at the console. It might be difficult to use the stomp-switch in that case. There are vocal pedals for this use, though, that allow the singer to control the Fx him/her self. Look at the TC Helicon 'Critical Mass', for instance, for doubling up the vocals.
Nah, just use one of these: https://www.americanmusical.com/audio-technica-cp8201-mic-impedance-matching-transformer/p/AUD-CP8201. Being doing it for ages and works a treat. You can use it for any pedal and get some proper weird effects should you desire.
What's a good price for a Gibson RD Standard Bass in Ebony, all OG?

None that I saw did for certain. I think the highest was about £2400 iirc. That doesn’t mean they can’t make that money, but I didn’t see any that did.
