  1. I set one of these up for a bassist in one of my drummer's other bands and achieved the lowest action on any bass I've ever done. The quality of the neck was quite superb! Glwts!
  2. I played through one of these in Oxford earlier this year, very loud and sounded great! Glwts!
  3. These metal neck Kramers do have a unique sound. I think they look super cool too!
  4. @kodiakblair thanks matey, that looks just the ticket!
  5. Out of interest, where did you find a 30" scale 24 fret neck?
  6. Probably electrolytic capacitors on the preamp power supply not working correctly. If they are largeish, sometimes the vibration can fracture the solder around one of the pins too.
  7. Looking at it, I think you could fit a 32" 20 fret neck and move the bridge back 3/4" and have it intonate ok with the travel on those saddles. I know you said you weren't keen, but it's doable, if you can source a neck!
  8. I'm looking for a medium scale fretless neck that I can use as a 24fret short scale for my current fretless. It should work, as my bass has an unusual neck attachment. I would think that's about right for a bespoke neck. Unfortunately
  9. Macca's bass turning up after 51 years should give you hope!
  10. I thought I looked for it, must have man-looked! Thanks.
  11. I've been asked by a friend if I know any recommendations for one on one, not online tuition for a 16 year old lad
  12. When I get back from holiday, I'm going to ebay this with £150 start, and may even offer postage too, so put in your interest before it goes up!
  13. From the photo, the strings don't seem remotely aligned with the pole pieces. Maybe a tiny neo magnetic on just the e pole would help? A similar sized pickup with blade/ rail configuration might just pick the outer strings better?
  14. Didn't get a photo, but Green Rooms in Witney had a rack mounted Mark Bass head, rack tuner and MB 6x10 cab the only time I went there. Included in room cost. Well impressed!
  15. Thanks, I think it's priced OK, for someone who wants to rock out rather than just look at it, it should be ideal!
  16. Looks similar to the Vox standard defretted that I sold recently. Very nice sounding fretless, good luck with the sale!
  17. Only if you haven’t got a 2000's one already...
  18. You're welcome to pop over sometime and check it out. About 80 miles from Bristol.
  19. 2004 Rickenbacker 4003 with the following upgrades: Hipshot Bridge and Tuners Seymour Duncan pickups Black scratchplate Approximate weight 4.5kg, just under 10lbs No case, original bridge, pickups and tuners not included. Condition: well gigged, presumably mainly with a plectrum as witnessed by scuffs on the neck pickup. various nicks and chips around the body. Main play wear is on the neck rear, possibly from chunky thumb and finger rings! Despite this, the frets are in very good condition. I got this in December, it required a thorough cleaning, the selector was stuck in the middle position and the bridge pickup had a wire off. The Bridge ground wasn't connected, having been attached with Blu-Tak. Really. The intonation was set properly since the bridge photo btw! All these issues were fixed. New Status roundwound strings fitted, 100-40 I can't get on with it, I'm moving over to short scale, and have a large car bill to pay off, makes sense to move this on Collection only please (Didcot), I've no means or desire to post this. Welcome to come and try this out.
  20. I'd love a Longhorn fretless if they did one, or defretted. That Ruby one is nice, wonder if it comes in black?
  21. Thanks! I stopped using this when I got a Blackstar b. e. a.m. but the Trace is a bit louder, and doesn't have the tons of baked in compression the beam has to use to stop destroying itself! It's very sweet sounding with acoustic instruments with that lovely reverb!
