1.
Check with the organisers. I've been to this festival since 2002 and played once. The Big Top is the second biggest stage at the festival with a capacity of around 5,000. The stage is big and very well set up with plenty of on stage monitoring. I would contact the organisers first to be honest and ask what is supplied as I wouldn't be surprised if there was already backline available, having seen how they turn around the acts. Congratulations, I would kill to play this stage!
Thanks Muppet, really appreciate, If you are there this year check Duke of Wolves, we might catch up all the best!
2. Hi there, Thanks to you all for the replies! I actually found the solution, as some of you were proposing I'll go for a DI box (i was thinking for the sansamp tech 21, because i got good feedback about this one) and keep the idea for the line6. The stage is quite big and everything but for what i know (having been there before and cause of the big names after us on stage) i'm pretty sure that they will have a quite competent sound engineer/monitors. The only thing that won't be provide are the amps for the band since that all the others bands are touring and have their own gear. This is why we have been requested to bring our own. I'm aware that you can't connect the line 6 to the ism, i was just wondering how it would have worked using the DI About the IEM will just go for them once the tour plan will be finished, basically to get a better discount. I'm writing all this so if anyone get a chance to play at the big top at IOW you get some infos about what do they provide. Someone told me that during the last years they were actually providing everything, but not this one. Thanks again for all the answers! S.
3. Hi there, with my band we are gonna play at the big top IOW. I've started asking around about which might be the best solution amp wise ecc. I have an Hartke hd 50, obviously for home use. Some of my fellas suggested to borrow/rent a bigger amp. Good idea but i'm not really keen in spending money for something that i'm gonna use just once, and (about a bigger amp) I literally wouldn't know where to store it once back in London. I was trying to understand how the IEM works considering that I'll probably buy a line 6 g10/30 (not sure yet). My question is how would the two things work together? It's the first time and for as much I researched this thing is till quite confusing for me. Thanks for the help! Sara
4. Dropped price 450£ Hi there! I'm selling my Fender Jazz Squier 1987. The bass is in great conditions, every part is original and it hasn't a scratch. The sound is just amazing, the only reason I'm selling it is cause I'm looking for a five string and unfortunately I can't keep both of them. If you want to check this is the serial number: E671287. It comes with its rigid case and its certificate. No shipping, but i'm avaiable to meet up anywhere else. Based in NW London. If you need any further infos just let me know! Sara
